A prominent member of WHO has released a statement today saying the younger generation are making a big mistake thinking that they are immune from serious consequences of this virus.
He stated that the majority of hospital patients around the world with the virus are actually under 50 years old.
He also reminded young people that it is possible for young, healthy people to die from the virus; and they have done already

Believe what you want but pretty sure you’d want my help before I need yours.

Keep preaching otherwise. On many subjects you make a good case but you’ve shot your load on this one.

    Clueless.
You are getting the arrogance of Mr Kerr Howdy. Not a good move...

I ain't preached anything by the way. I have tried not to show any political bias. I have just asked questions, questions a child might ask. They are pretty basic. Surely some of these must have gone thru your noggin at some point.

I have also shown my agreement with many of the govts policies on this matter.

I have also wished good luck to you and your family as I would do to any family in this situation but you just reply with abuse.

Well, in Germany, they are keeping the number of deaths down , probably by faster decisive action, more testing, better funding for hospitals, having equipment quickly in place for dealing with the problem. There are probably other things too that our government needs to find out about. I don't think that it is sheer good luck

Something else I read this week was that a certain country has said if they suspect individuals have been ignoring govt guidance or laws regarding control of this virus, then they will be refused treatment or will be treated only once everyone else has been seen.
I think it was Singapore but I might be wrong

Two probablies there. So you don't really have a clue. I think they are probably feeling their way like the rest of the world dealing with a novel situation.

The govt are saying we can still go outside as long as we are distancing ourselves so all you joggers, hikers, dog walkers and cyclist out there will be able to hit the roads and keep fit. As a jogger and hiker myself this is at least one plus for me from all this. My greatest fear is that we wouldnt be allowed outside the front gate. That would drive me crackers.

As regards pubs, clubs, theatres and restaurants our lass would argue I never take her there anyway and use them very little myself.

I am lucky that I do lead quite a simple life style though i do recognise people who are used to socialising are going to find this very difficult. i would recommend walking or jogging though better than being couped up at home all day. And being physically active helps protect your immune system.

Maybe they lost a war. Not read the following piece but just put a simple search in google. It probably explains the reasons better than you can.

I do know they pay more for social care etc but the likes of me are much more aligned to their way of thinking than you or Roly are.

They wouldn’t be keen on your sort. Sorry. 😉

    Funny world in it.

And as I mentioned earlier, they are probably recording differences sitting under the data.
