I was asking a friend in Singapore how things were there. They've been social distancing since the end of January.

I asked if folk were still being infected there.

    Her reply

Hiya - yes people still getting it - numbers peaked especially after the border ‘closed’ and lots of people returned from other places. Two deaths announced today were the first. ☹
You’ll have to do some ‘Oops upside your head’ there to get in canoeing shape. X🤪

There is a bit in there that was mentioned in a news report yesterday.

The Chinese are saying that the main risk/threat comes from overseas visitors now.

Played golf today with 7 pals it was surreal, cant touch the flags, no rakes in bunkers, clubhouse closed money collected outside on a table. All the measures in place were correct and sensible but it just didn’t feel right, we all said we may not play again until September, cancelled comp next week.

As a side note put all your coins in vinegar, villagers used to leave food on the outskirts of eyam on stones with wells carved in them and the coins were placed in the vinegar wells to disinfect against the plague

Hanging garlic and a crucifix on your bedhead wouldn't do any harm either.

I remember the days when licking your balls was common practice but could never do it myself, not supple enough I would have thought despite the weirdness gm_gm a few hours out on the course would be a welcome break from everything else that's going on. I've got cabin fever and it's only been a couple of weeks confined to barracks and I am getting out in the garden and walking the dog. I saw a report saying that to the elderly, the physical impact of loneliness and isolation is as detrimental to health as smoking 20 a day.

Thought I’d nip to dump yard earlier to get rid of just a few things which were mainly rotted wood that gets put behind garage and forgot about, Thank god it was only a few and was only there about 2 mins, it was busy so looks like everyone is clearing out probably to make room for their toilet paper .

    Plenty of take aways open

Plenty out there that I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole, I will only use the ones I’ve known and used for a while (a couple are owned by friends)
