    Yes just read this:

McDonald’s will shut down all of its restaurants in the UK and Ireland after previously offering takeaway and drive-thru services amid increasing concern over the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.

The fast food giant first stripped back its offering on 17 March when it announced it would close all seating areas across the country to mitigate the spread of the virus, which has killed 281 people in the UK.

However in a statement the business confirmed it would go a step further by fully closing its more than 1,300 outlets across the region by 7pm on Monday.

In a statement, the company said: “We have taken the difficult decision to close all McDonalds restaurants in the UK and Ireland by 7pm on Monday 23 March at the latest.

“This is not a decision we are taking lightly, but one made with the wellbeing and safety of our employees in mind as well as in the best interests of our customers.”

My wife works in a school so she and our household will be exposed to this whatever happens.

My employers aren't giving me a clear message to be honest. I could work from home and I will be doing this quite a lot as I will have to look after my kids but it would help if my boss told me I have to work at home.

When you are told to do whatever you feel is best but then told that there is a meeting on Monday morning, it gives a very mixed message!!!

Exactly the same here. Search and rescue teams were called out 6 times yesterday to people in difficulty on hiking trails and as they treat each incident as a possible virus infection they end up using valuable protective gear.

On a positive note, one guy who owns a local furniture manufacturer has turned all his machines and staff over to making face masks for free for local hospitals. As he says, might as well as nobody wants to buy furniture at the moment.

Instead of gorging on the attention-seeking bilge put out by the mainstream media have a look at something put out by boring (but proper) scientists. It's a bit heavy going, but it gave me a better understanding of the whole thing:

The newspapers like to condense everything down to an 8 word headline, but this is too important for that.

There,s something wrong when Canada feels the need to withdraw its athletes from the Olympics because Japan and the IOC are living in denial.
Australia have effectively said they won't be going either.
Postponing the event for 12 months Is No big deal for the sake of health and wellbeing

Slightly worrying when it discusses the most common health condition of some of those who have died.

High blood pressure was 76%. I suspect we all know plenty of people on blood pressure tablets.

The best outcome would be a lockdown, you have a cough and you get mixed answers, one (health workers) will say isolation but another will say no need

People do not know what to actually do.

Looks like SYP are actually going to start doing something about these big crowds who imo are totally ignorant morons, possible attention seekers as well, receive a fine or get arrested is being spoke about at the minute
