btw what is a Houseplant metality?
    A houseplant hasn’t got a brain.

I’m surprised you haven’t heard the term previously.

I have a Sicilian life long friend who always maintained that the schithole of Italy is Naples.

Hindsight's a wonderful thing - Boris has followed the advice of the scientists and medics, no-one can trust what China says & Trump is a chest beating fool. The exponential rate of deaths in Italy obviously follows an incubation period and new evidence has come to light about viral load worsening your chances of serious illness (this is why young healthy individuals working in hospitals are falling ill).

My big fear is London will be our Bergamo, packed tube trains and station platforms then off to Snowdon, Cornwall etc to spread it far and wide.

Boris the PM, leader of the land, gave us advice on social distancing, many chose to ignore it and as Mick has said - you don't need a govt to flick a switch in your head. Should he have gone harder sooner - history will say yes, take no chances, I fear it's now too late.

I live in the Westcountry, rural Wiltshire to be precise - plenty of well educated parents let their ****age kids attend a party at the weekend, only 1 parent stopped her son going. I have 2 children - they haven't been anywhere but the small park up the road by themselves for half an hour.

As for the younger adults in their 20's and early 30's - I remember those days when we all thought we were immortal, they are now being judged but plenty of older folk fighting over bogroll all judge them and should look in the mirror.

I saw a scary stat about the rate of cases - 13 days for the first 100,000, then 6 days for the next then 4 days.......it even has the brainwashed religious leaders scared.

Good post WCV - was impressed with Boris last night as came cross as another Thatcher type person - strong and a real leader!
It makes you cry seeing people defiant of the lock down such as packed tubes - personally if they are not a key worker then they should be arrested and fined heavily.

I know NHS staff and now a family member in the Army all putting their lives at risk and they are sick to the back teeth of selfish morons who will increase the spread of this virus! W ankers I say to anyone not following latest advice!

What about the Venus Flytrap? Now that's what I call a clever plant.
