Hopefully the club shop will still be open.
Desperate for a key ring and some goalkeepers shorts.

Coronation Street is screwed - Rovers, the Bistro and Speed Daal shut down. Shouldn't think Underworld will be doing very much business either.

    Urgent question

Did I hear Boris Johnson tell us to stay at home but we can go to work ?

A very confusing and mixed message. He didn't say we were on lockdown but said go to work, shop only if you have to etc.

Key things were not allowing even family to visit you so no business calls to your home.

Absolutely needed doing and totally the right call .

After this weekends shenanigans Johnson had little choice .

We've never had so much home entertainment at our disposal , the population barely had a radio to listen to during WW2 .

Nowt hard about this if you consider the potential consequences .

There is no way they will stop families seeing each other. Its nonsense. Can you imagine young grandparents not being able to see young grandchildren for months'? I don't doubt that it will cut down on family liaisons though which I suppose helps the cause. In any case how will the police be able to watch everybodys homes? The only way they will know if neighbour turns against neighbour dobbing them in but this will be remembered when the storm is past...this could turn quite ugly one way or the other...

This also confused me. They are shutting non essential shops so who's going to work.
I've been impressed with how Johnson and the government has handled the situation so far but tonight's statement has left plenty of questions that need answering.

Roly, after yesterday's shenanigans with John, I've come to realise that the goodwill of my family are uppermost in my thoughts. No, it's not ideal not to be able to see your loved ones but heaven forbid, would folks not like not to see them ever again should they contract something and pass it on though their selfishness just to see them.

We have enough electronic connection these days, Face time, Whatsaap face time, mobile calls. Surely that's enough to keep a family together no matter how large it is?

There will always be social and loved attachment but, this is not forever so let's all play it sensible.

Well there must be workers other than shop workers? I work for a transportation agency, we have cut back service but nurses, care workers... etc still need to get to work so we need people driving the buses/trains, monitoring the safety of the trains so on and so forth. Utility supplies need maintaining, you know, all the 'real' jobs people used to do.
