    I’ve just watched the press conference.

    Last night it was STAY AT HOME. Today we see that it’s ok to go to work as long as you keep 2 metres apart. Is that before or after you sanitise the door handle after someone has used it? Oops put my hand in something. You can work two yards from your co worker but you can’t see your expendable older parents.

    And this piece of wisdom.....on the underground there are enough trains so keep 2 metres apart there too!! On that basis they have got the wrong person to oversee it? apparently his last job was in a sardine packing factory....mind the gap.

    They will make a film out of this one day - it’s called “They were Expendable”

    Seriously it is no laughing matter. Absolutely disgraceful leadership.
    Your feeble words with open ended meanings has lead to total confusion. People need TELLING and without ambiguity. There are mixed messages no leadership.
    Disgusted. Many people are dying and it will increase dramatically and they don’t care. Hey ho. It’s just statistics to them.

    We came back off holiday last Friday.
    Ventured out yesterday ( Monday ) to do basic shopping. Aldi had notices up saying restrictions on fruit and veg didn't now apply, plenty on the shelves.
    Enough milk, shortage of bog rolls so will have to use rileys rotherham record newspaper lol.

    Keep safe everyone, staying in for quite a while, plenty of jobs to do in the garage and garden.

    Edit - A friend of ours works for an electrical retailer, one that's closed, she says people over the last two weeks have been buying up all the freezers.

    I'll help out;

    If you can't work from home and your employers are telling you to go to work then go to work and take precautions like regular hand washing, keeping distance.

    If your older expendable parents can cope without your visit. Don't visit them.

    Just because there are instances where you come into contact with people at work, doesn't mean that you should go and visit everyone you know.

    People are blaming Boris. They have been told what they should be doing. Why can't they just try and do it as well as they can.

    Why do I know what is expected of me? Why do I know not to visit my parents?

    Shark if that’s your advice I’m fine thanks. He specifically said stay at home. The healthcare workers are pleading for people to stay at home. My wife has asthma and I am not going to bring any virus home. I have been in business 47 years and have loved what I do. We consistently have to perform to strict budget. However, the only charts I am interested in presently are the heartbreaking increases in loss of life .You pass this way but once and I am with the New York Mayor who says you cannot put a price on human life. I will work from home but go to the office......no chance.

    Less than two weeks ago we were still debating if the Southend game should be played. I think the gravity of the situation is finally starting to hit home in most places. As the Governor of Washington State where I live said, stay healthy, stay home, and do whatever you can to help the heroes who are fighting this on the front line by preventing its spread.
