Died on Monday. I can't tell you how much I learned from this guy. He famously totally ignored a producer telling him that his introduction should be 11 seconds in length. Bill went away and wrote "Aint no sunshine" with NO introduction whatsoever. The rest is history. Love the guy. A true singer songwriter. His songwriting was second to none. If you get a chance to watch the documentary "Just Bill" you can see how he was a truly amazing human being too.
