For a few posts this was an interesting exchange of differing opinions.

The "handbags" thread has soon been forgotten.

Well I would say that everyone gave their opinion on Starmer plus their rationale for thinking it, then someone came along with no intention of debating the point of whether he is a good leader but just some personal point scoring / mud slinging towards him, and it degenerated from there.

Correct. Listening to the interviews with Sir Keir this morning it was a joy to listen to a normal, persuasive, rational person as LOTO.

Like the Reedtz brothers after Hardy.

Agree. It will be interesting to see how he can bring the far left, the unions and middle England together though, which is the only path to no 10.

Quite right, Driller. And here's a quote from the villain of the peace (sic):

It's rather ironic that the party that (falsely) claims to fight for the working class and equality and diversity has elected a male, white, London-born, pro-remain lawyer with a 'Sir' in his title.

There might be another path, the one where in 3 or 4 years the electorate gets so fed up with Tory incompetence they will be desperate for change, even if the change is average. I know that seriouspie has told us Boris Johnson will be remembered as a great Prime Minister, but my opinion is rather different.

I was surprised to see Jackal go down the identity politics road like that, but I was actually referring to the Forest fan.
