I don't watch much TV these days apart from sport and news. In fact with me getting Sky Sports and BT Sport from BT TV I hardly ever watch BBC 'direct' so to speak and lobbing out again after 7 years of a free licence is a gripe. Anyway readers I digress from the main topic so here's my view.

Maitlis is without doubt a well read ambitious woman and I don't hold that against her, she's from the same mould as Laura K. Jackal says she was anti Corbyn but I would say she typifies the BBC's seemingly left wing and liberal views. In a nutshell I think many Presenters (if not all) come over as being judge and jury of whatever they discuss and become most indignant if challenged or immediately cut off an interview if they appear to be losing the argument their researchers have scripted for them. A recent Newsnight interview with Ruth Davidson put Emily in her place and I'll always remember Sebastian Gork telling Evan Davis to get his facts correct before interviewing him on American politics. Another 'Right up his own arse merchant' is Piers Morgan, Richard Madely is another..... and so it goes on with the 'Cooks', Antique dealers and other 'experts' too many to name. Might be an idea to start a thread on which TV 'Stars' we detest ...... there are many making a handsome living for doing nowt!!

Is it just a coincidence that you didn't say a single word about what she actually said?

Or is it that the truth hurts?

Jesus, you are a bore my friend .... but here we go. Maitlis was carrying on the repetitive question (must have been asked !00 times and recurring) concerning who in the government would make a final decision on a large issue should Boris be incapacitated as Raab was not the official deputy PM. Before Maitlis could finish, Ruth interrupted her and said the decision would be taken collectively by the five senior members of the cabinet just as Raab had repeatably said it would and as Boris had dictated it should do - and therefore there was nothing more to be said on the matter. Strangely EP I've not heard anyone on the BBC ask the question since, have you?

Truth hurt? You mean the truth in your own Socialistic eyes which count for nothing to me personally. As said a hundred times or more before, I'm happy how my life has panned out, with ups and downs the likes of which you've never experienced. Don't ask me what they've been as some would shock. So you carry on with your disagreeing of most things I post and I'll reciprocate. Just out of interest do you know of Caunton Engineering who work from, and own all of, the old Moorgreen colliery site, it's local to you is it not? Well if you ever want to see how an ordinary bloke (Tom Broadberry was a welder) and his pal David Bingham (Salesman) developed the company from a tin shed in Caunton into one of the most prestigious structural steel company's in the country, let me know and I'll get you a tour around. I don't think you'll find many of the employees criticising their boss's Tory views, they were country boys and Simon (David's lad) who wholly owns the company since Dad retired still is. But then again engineers are down to earth people and make things happen and create jobs and that's what it's all about at the end of the day ....... making things happen while those of a Socialistic mind whine and complain and want a good living on the wealth created by others. Mind you at the end of another boring day it's nice to return a load of rubbish to you in return for the garbage you post to me. Keep smiling through ..... you might win something eventually.

Not for the first time, you've completely misunderstood what I was asking and posted yet another one of your tedious 'wealth creator' replies.
The original post was about her Newsnight intro on Wednesday and the link was put there for you, all you had to do was click it.

Although it's probably wasted on you, I'm sure in your bigoted world you'll be convinced that if Boris survives coronavirus it will be because he's a really brave battler and a leader, and anyone with left leaning sympathies would have just rolled over and capitulated.

What exactly was the "example of the sick left"?

I'm sure the normal reasonable people would like to know.

I listened live to it and formed my own opinions.

Reading your continuous left leaning views gets tiresome and boring much as my train of thought must do the same to you, to which I'm sure you would agree. Glad to see you falling into line and referring to Boris by his christian name as most people do, which in a way shows the man's popularity among the country. Of course he'll recover and return to lead us because that's what he is .... a true leader, and your snivelling comments about my 'Bigoted World' couldn't be further from the truth ....... I want every man Jack/Jill that may contact the Chinese plague to recover 'cos that means it'll be beat and politics doesn't come into the equation.

But one thing your bigoted socialist brain cannot seem to comprehend is that our party ARE in power and can press onwards as they please, whereas your lot are NOT and will have years of whinging and negativity (yet again) and achieve absolutely f'call. Summing this up is relatively simple and even you cannot argue. You are a member of a band of continuous political losers ....... admit it. It's a good life isn't it!

What? I fully comprehend that the Tories are in power and have a pretty easy ride to push through what they want due to their majority. I have never said otherwise. I can easily argue with the rest of your post however. The Tories will have a high popularity rating at the moment because of the 'Dunkirk Spirit' in the battle against coronavirus. It won't last forever though, and when we have to pick up the pieces and the public see the NHS still being neglected and the less well off being targeted by austerity again, I think the tide will turn. I remember people like you saying that Thatcher had killed the Labour party for good in her heyday. What happened next? Three election wins for Blair!

So what ... all in the past. We now have a great leader .. bet you wished he was a socialist eh?

Didn't Blair's lot give everybody's money away quicker than his hand on the vinegar stroke? Always the same with the politics of envy.

For Christ's sake man the tide won't turn ............. your lot are f'uked for ever once Boris gets to work and the plague clears up.

How much more money is now being pumped into the NHS ? Boris has to honour his pledges .. and he will.
