I totally understand the quickness it spreads and the strain on the NHS, but that is the same with any epidemic. Also winter flu kills mainly old people and those with underlying health problems, but also throws up a couple of wildcards with young people and people who seem healthy dying.
A lot of of people die every year who seem healthy and have no known underlying symptoms. Look at our own Cyrille Regis, if he had died this winter and he had tested positive for Covid 19 what conclusion would people come to? The experts themselves don't know how many people died of Covid 19, or if it was a contributing factor. In my opinion it probably was. But so are other viruses. We only hear of how many died who had tested positive for it and we don't know how many people who haven't been tested have it. Possibly millions.
Yesterday two thousand people died in America, but when you think of the population of America how many die in a day anyway?
So far about two million people worldwide have tested positive, Asian Flu KILLED almost that many, or rather that many died who had been diagnosed with it.
Mick asked if we knew anyone who had the virus, yesterday i heard my former managers mom and dad had died after being tested for it. But my manager is about sixty.
On Thursday I had to take the dog to the vets in Wolverhampton for her two month injection. I hadn't been past the front gate for three weeks. I didn't really want to go so i phoned and asked if I could defer, but the vet said he would sooner i go as she needs the injection. I parked on the car park and phoned to say i was there, the vet came out, took her in, gave her the injection and brought her back to me. I had taken some hand sanitiser to use after i got her back, so i am not taking it lightly at all, and I do appreciate the sacrifices of the NHS. Let's hope they won't be underpaid and underfunded and forgotten again after this.
