If this is legit it's a disgraceful wage to offer the lower paid offer.

It equates to £5.43 for 46 hours which is 9 hours above the national weekly average or, it drops even lower to £5.20...absolutely deplorable.

That's for apprentices or under 18s, current minimum wage is:

    25 and over £8.72
    21 to 24 £8.20
    18 to 20 £6.45
    Under 18 £4.55
    Apprentice £4.15

Thank you for correcting me. I still find the working hours for a week out of order as the UK uses the 37.5 hour week guidance.

    Why are we surprised.

Telegraph 3 April... 'Unless the British farming industry fills the 90,000 fruit- and vegetable-picking jobs currently required, a scarcity of fresh vegetables and fruit may be a reality as produce is left to rot in the fields.

“In recent years as much as 98 per cent of seasonal workers have come from eastern European countries, like Bulgaria and Romania,” says Nick Marston, chairman of British Summer Fruits, which this year is launching an initiative to encourage more people to apply for seasonal picking jobs.'

I’d do it if I was allowed or had the time but that’s the way I was brought up, some wouldn’t dream of it
Loads of farm fields around here, one farmer I know and he will get help for free from mates if he needs it

How many shoplifters, pickpockets, pimps, drug dealers, muggers, cashpoint scammers and beggars come from those two countries?

    It's not all benefits.

There's thousands in the prison system that could be deployed to pick fruit and vegetables .

Enough of them to provide a very effective workforce .

All it takes is a bit of organisation .

Go out there and graft and in certain cases we can knock 6 months off your sentence .

Earn an early release date .

Anyone doing one over the hedge gets two years added to the sentence on top of their current one .
