Which ‘major deal’ have the royals helped facilitate that has created jobs and benefited the country?

There is no way that you could identify a single major deal. However, it is clear to me that the Queen has a very positive image around the world. When we went to USA and spent some time in schools, nearly every question from the children when they knew we were from England was about her.

I don't think that if Charles takes over there will be the same goodwill although I think there would be more to William & Kate.

There’s no denying everyone knows who the queen is. I want to know how that translates into trade deals from which everyone benefits.

I didn't say that everyone knows who the Queen is. I said she has a very positive image, and there is no doubt to me that it plays a part in people dealing with the UK. It is impossible to quantify of course, I won't deny that, but I still say that it comes down in favour of her. As I also said, I don't think the whole royal family has a positive effect but she does.

I’m a bit surprised you don’t know much about the bloke as you appear to be all in favour of handing him millions of pounds worth of taxpayer’s money for very little.
