The voting will be as follows.

    From the BBC Scotland website

Right, so this is where it gets complicated.

First, the easy bit. For any proposal to pass, it needs eight of the 10 Championship clubs and 15 of the 20 in Leagues One and Two to support it. So far, so simple.

The Premiership is more of a morass. It had been reported that 11 of the 12 top-flight clubs would need to back any plan, but this is actually only the case if the number of clubs in the SPFL is increased or the prize money split changed.

Should the group suggest a reshuffle that does not involve going up from 42 teams or mucking about with money, only nine top-tier sides need back it.

That's written - clear as mud - in the SPFL articles of associations and rules and regulations. That's article 64 and rule C3, should you be so minded to check.

That could be a game-changer. Oh, and one more bit of housekeeping while we're here...

BBC Scotland understands Hearts would still vote as a Premiership club unless they are relegated before any ballot.

Consequently, Dundee United's submission would count towards the Championship tally. The rest of the promoted and relegated clubs would vote in their 'new' divisions.

If ICT were top the Funsters would be happy to accept the decision
It is true Rangers were unhappy about United coming up it shows the small, childish mentaluty
Are you related to Captain Obvious by any chance 🙈🙈🙈

Dempster pulling out of reconstruction task force citing she has more important things to consider looks like Hibs wont be voting fir it. Rangers hate everyone so cant see them voting for it so looks doomed already.

Livingston want a permanent top league of 14,Hearts and Aberdeen a temporary 14 and so the bun fight begins.I would vote against the Livingston plan as it has 2 going straight down and 3rd bottom in a play off.It also means only playing the top six twice if you ended up in the bottom 8 as the league splits half way through,no thanks.

Top 6 bottom 8 is how any league of 14 is going to work though mate. Its the only way really. 7 & 7 doesn't work as there is always one team with a free week. The only other options are status quo or a 16 team league,
which I very much doubt will happen. The whole permanent/temporary is going to be the big stumbling block imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it goes tbh. I just can't see the 'smaller teams' voting in favour of one or two more teams being relegated.
