Too late now BT, the sh-itfest that is PHE, NHS and DHSC is like a fecking gigantic oil tanker, it will take ages to turn it around and there simply isn't the time now to do anything about it. That will have to be sorted later, for now we have to run with what we've got, which is a few government ministers trying to get on top of the sh-itfest our not fit for purpose public health bodies have left us with.

Anyway, we do seem to be winning, so now we have to wait and see what sort of ideas our mad scientists suggest to get us out of lockdown. The worrying thing is, it's the same people who dumped us into this mess in the first place who will be deciding how we get out of it. God help and save the British economy, I don't think anyone else can.

Bloody hell man, pull yourself together!

Don'y you know that this is a global event, and people like you are saying the same thing in, America, France, Italy, Spain and about 100 more countries.

I'll bet that in every single country people will be pointing their fingers at their health service, Government and anyone else that they can think of saying that they are useless.

I am actually impressed by the way our Government, the health service , the military and the general public have pulled together over this. And it has been replicated in many other countries too.

I'll just trust the experts that the lockdown will be removed when they think the time is right.

It could have been a hell of a lot worse (I hope I'm not tempting fate here!)

    London hospital.
Half empty. Some wards have less than a handful of patients, some wards are closed. Most staff have been moved to wards so are falling over selves. While their regular work goes undone.
A&E very quiet. I’ve sent patients there who are seen immediately. The heart attacks, strokes and appendicitis cases are presenting too late. People with covid are waiting too long to present. If you get breathless then for goodness sake come in. I’m so cross at the initial advice to stay home until struggling.
Had a look through covid ward lists and vast majority patients are aged over 70. Hardly any patients under 60, those who are have underlying health problems for the most part. Lots more men than women affected.
It’s just a snapshot but echoed by colleagues in other hospitals.
I think we can / should start to move back to normal life soon for the well young people among us. I fear for the short and longer term economic hit. It’s crazy to have all these young well people furloughed or made redundant."

Same. Our patients are being denied their regular treatments and interventions so we can all twiddle our thumbs and wait."

"Dh (hospital consultant) is saying the same about where he works - it’s driving him mad! Empty wards, lots of staff, and so many important procedures /operations / treatments cancelled. God knows how they are ever going to catch up!"

"My friend is a consultant in a London hospital. She’s told me the same. She said it’s no where near as bad as Italy or USA. I’d rather listen to her account than the media."

"My best friend, who is a consultant in a large hospital in the south (not London) related the exact same thing to me yesterday. She said they're finishing their ward rounds by 11am, and are twiddling their thumbs much of the time, feeling very guilty about being clapped for, every Thursday. BUT, she is very worried about what's heading their way once some of this is lifted, and their clinic waiting lists will explode and there will be many patients who will be too late for effective treatment."

No good shouting at me 59, I only observe and comment. BT insists it's a sh-itfest, the media muppets at the press briefings every day insist it's a sh-itfest, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, I don't know. All I am saying is that if it is indeed a sh-itfest then BT and the Media muppets are wrong and disingenuous trying to blame the government for it. Any sh-itfest, if indeed there is one, is being caused by PHE and the NHS and so when BT wants to know what's to be done about the problem, if indeed there is one, I'm telling him nothing can be done, because you can't alter the way PHE and the NHS operate overnight. Clear now ?

I don't trust the experts on the removal of lockdown, not one little bit, I just hope your confidence in them isn't misplaced 59, but the experts you've placed your faith in over the years have a very worrying habit of being proved wrong. The rest of your post I tend to agree with.

The simple FACT sinkov is our daily mortality rate is "normal".

A RAF plane has just landed from Turkey packed with PPE - FACT.

Raab is still looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a ten tonne truck, Gove is missing, Hancock is waffling and Johnson is reported to be setting up a video link with the Orange Buffoon and Brenda.

The BBC is still talking bollox, I can't buy a pint or have a meal out, I can't walk on Lytham's front or play golf, please argue with me that we are not living in a fu-cking lunatic asylum?

Of course we live in a fecking lunatic asylum BT, I keep saying that myself so I'm not going to dispute it.

Raab always looks like a rabbit caught in headlights, he has a vein permanently throbbing on his forehead, very unfortunate for a politician so often now in the public eye, but it signifies nothing, he's as competent, or incompetent, take your pick, as any other politician, and he's a rock solid 100% Brexiteer, so leave him alone, leave him where he is. The traitors are still plotting to keep us in, we'll need Raab and others like him in post by the year end, the Remainer turds haven't given up yet.

It's no co-incidence that the woke lefty media, indulging in an orgy of Tory bashing at 5pm every afternoon, are all EU to the core, they'd love to bring down Boris and his Brexiteer government, then install a government of National Unity, who could argue with that, then first item on the agenda would an extension of the transition period, you know it makes sense they'll ever so sweetly tell you, then we're still in the EU and paying for it for at least another year, and your Remoan traitors are running the show again.

Be careful what you wish for BT, because if the Boris bashing achieves it's aim, that's what you'll get.

sinkov --you sertainly have support from a Veterans' page that I look at as one contributor has said
"Copied from another site but shared here because I think this nails it. If only the media would report it correctly
Lets get this in perspective the crayon eaters who are set on pulling down the government .Firstly THE GOVERMENT DOES NOT ORDER EQUIPMENT for the NHS, they supply the money. The lazy arse MANAGERS of the NHS are the procurement sources. It's not the government that deals with the logistics for the NHS, it's yes you've guessed it the NHS, more piss poor NHS management (goverment sorted that be giving them the Army). Two years ago there was a major exercise about the country being prepared for a possible pandemic, the government did NOT run that exercise, the NHS did, which they used their fantastic line "we can flex" so they were supposedly in a good place, add to that now Brexit with all the stockpiles that we had, they sat there and told the goverment we are ok. Did the MANAGERS then pre empt the 4 weeks pipeline ordering (thats how long it takes container ship to come from......CHINA)....oh how did we end up in that situation, well you stopped ordering from local sources, mistake all the eggs in one basket, who did that, not the goverment the NHS procurement. With the care homes now screaming out for PPE shouting at the goverment, oh wait the majority of care home are PRIVATE business's, 84% to be exact. It is not the responsibility of the goverment to order PPE for the private care homes, the others are COUNCIL led therefore which ever banner they are under it is down to them. There are all these people hiding behind the goverment when in reality it is those MANAGERS who have ****ed up. Not to worry though all our stirling journalists and crayon munching joe public who believe the tripe they publish, to bash the goverment, one because they didn't vote for Brexit and two because the toxic crayons have got to them. The real joe public know our media are ****e in almost every quarter and the muppets that chuck the stones from the sidelines, you know the ones that are armchair virologist/stratergy professionals who could do oh so much better....NOT. The goverment has made mistakes, but not as many as the media would have you believe, instead of trying to pull this country together it seeks to divide, we don't need this at this crucial time, stop reading the gutter press, the armchair freaks STFU we need to get through this and your insessant squeaking is nothing but oxygen waste. Lets get through this and beat this, as it is not over yet, not by a long chalk."

"The number of Brits being referred for cancer treatment has dropped by 75% since the start of the outbreak. 200,000 people per week are no longer being screened for bowel, breast and cervical cancer, Cancer Research UK says."

Time to be getting out of Lockdown methinks, it's going to start costing more lives than it's supposed to be saving, never mind the horrendous economic damage.

It's now clearly obvious sinkov, if we are not treating their underlying health issues the patients who contract the coronavirus are goners. Save a bloody fortune in the long run on social care and pensions though?

A cunning if rather devious plan I propose.
