Thread: O/T Coronavirus Thread (3)

Gowns used to be laundered in the NHS and re worn so not sure when or why that practice stopped.

I know Howdy mentioned the new hospitals not having any patients, they've been turning patients away according to what I've read this morning but this is due to a lack of available nurses. The Nightingale hospital has only treat 40 patients apparently. I could see this being true as not any nurse can care for patients on ventilators, it takes specialist training.

I can't personally point my finger at anyone, these are unprecedented times, people are human and make mistakes.

I'm sure Kerr will be along shortly to pull him up on it as he does with every left wing biased link. Oh!

Just for the record, Media Bias Fact Check records Guido Fawkes as between Right and Extreme right wing in political biased views and has a 'mixed' verdict for factual reporting based on "poor sourcing". Pretty much the same as Daily Mail only with extreme right political views.
Does this mean this particular report is nonsense and shouldn’t have posted? Do you think it’s factual or not?

Can we not be trusted to sort the wheat from the chaff and form a balanced view or does this full facts site determine everything?

    Pretty blinkered if so.

Correct. I also read that patients had been turned around. That could be a mistake. As you say mistakes happen.

What is a relief is that it’s not full and being used to treat 1000’s of people.

She was saying or at least implying that she was having to go to work in A&E without PPE and it was making her young daughter cry, that's lies and propaganda isn't it?

This is a point I made about articles I posted from skyhawkbox and the canary to Kerr but I don't recall you or anyone supporting my argument then!

Of course they may post some truths on their sites and all reports shouldn't be dismissed just because of who published it (although Kerr, whom you look up to will disagree with both of us there). The report fire linked to may or may not be true, I haven't read it. I just responded to his source which has a poor record for checking sources and deliberately misleading readers with unreliable data. The canary is left wing biased (though not extreme like Guido) but has a high standard in presenting correct factual information to back up its left wing. I think this is important. I personally would not take in regular readership of media like this is, along with some factually correct articles is a proven record of deliberately misleading ones, designed to mislead their readers, arm them with incorrect facts. The same goes for left wing media like the Mirror and Russia today (which Kerr correctly scorned me for linking to a while ago!).

But yes I agree we shouldn't dismiss an article just because of who published it and I haven't.

And he criticises all parties, see their main story today "PPE Procurement Farce".

If the story is wrong then why did the nurse then delete her Twitter account?

She was clearly using the virus for politicking in the same way that left-wing FMs have on here.
I didn't say it was rated extreme right wing. I said it was between right and extreme right which flicking through the historical articles is about right. It will criticise the government at times, as like you he sees the government as being too left wing. Of course, extremists dont recognise themselves as extremist. But the telling factor is that they view everyone else, right and left as being unpatriotic globalist libtards. Ring any bells? 😉

I might not have picked up on it or felt any need to comment.

We've entered into our 6th week of confinement.

Macron has made just 3 tv appearences (I don't think that Boris Johnson would have gotten away with just 3 addresses if he hadn't have been ill although he's made many more anyway.). The first was to tell everyone off for being naughty boys and girls for going out for one last piss up whan they said that the country was going on lockdown as punishment. The second was to tell everyone that it was serious and what they were going to do about the crisis, he thanked the 1000 people who had volunteered after the appeal to get supplies ad help to the people in need. The third time was to explain that the lockdown was going to be extended until the 11th May and that things would start to reopen. He also stressed that herd imunity was the way forward for France which shocked most people. France and the French press had slaughtered Boris for this and now they didn't know what to think.

The opening of movement is solely a economical one in my opinion that a health one. The talk of us all being supplied with washable face masks that must be worn outside the house is concerning. It's going to be enforcable with a 12€ fine. I see that in the UK there have been 4000 or so fines issued, well in Paris tere have been half a million alone and still the people are continuing to go out in numbers, have parties and last week a car pulling a caravan with a family in the car drove past my house.

The Britsh government is far more open than the French by a country mile, their Prime Minister has staged questions and answer questions on a platform that is so annoying that you wonder why they've bothered.

The Nursing homes have seen over 7000 deaths in them but hospitals have seen less than the UK it seems.

The talk of Cheltenham and the Liverpool Madrid games have been a source for critisism for the British population but compare that to staging the council elections a week before lockdown and then you really have to wonder what the health experts were telling governments. If it's always been a plan for herd immunity then what is going to happen to the Germans when thier lockdowns are over?

Anyhow, 5 full weeks with only gardening to do I am thankful for global warming because it's been lovely weather until this week.

We're keeping well, brewing beer and trying to make the most of a bad situation.
