I realise you are not a bleeding heart socialist sinkov, but around 50 Limited Companies close their doors every day because of insolvency.
What's so special about Virgin Atlantic and why do you have no conscience for all of the employees of all of the UK companies that go bust every year?
The answer is very simple sinkov. Capitalism is a paradigm where only the solvent survive.
And businesses only survive by striving to provide their customers with what they want, of the quality they want and at a price they can afford. The incentive is built in, good for the shareholders, and pension funds who are shareholders, good for their employees and good for the consumer, good for the public in general and governments, who rake in the tax to fund public services. That's why capitalism is so successful, everybody wins.
As St Margaret was fond of saying BT,
Better keep a hold of nurse, for fear of fining something worse.
Or perhaps you really do believe the working conditions of Mr Branson's numerous employees would be immeasurably improved by working under the preferred paradigms of such men of the people as Stalin, Lenin, Mao or Pol Pot. If so, go for it BT, but I think you would be well advised to listen to what your Aunty Margaret said above. She knew.
If governments applied equitable tax regimes BT, then there would be no need for tax dodging, but they want to make the pips squeak as Denis so eloquently put it. Hollande took it to the extreme in France, but the pip didn't squeak, they simply left the country, took their wealth with them and he had to back down. But do socialists ever learn, of course not, Socialists still want to make the pips squeak, you can't educate pork.![]()
