It's also been amazingly brilliant on our politicians part on how effective the quarantine has been on containing the infection rate. The recent test study in NYC showed that 20% were infected and had recovered and had no symptons. LA had a 30% infection rate and a homeless shelter in Boston had a 55% infection rate with no symptoms. It could have been 5-10% higher if we had not shut down the economy. it's a good thing that our ruling overlords care so deeply about us and selflessly serve us.

Just think of how bad it would have been if we had not shut down the world.

It's the most infectious disease in the world right now and some discussion the most in the last century. we will all be infected by the end of the year. Nothing is going to stop it. Our chinese friends ensured that when they bio engineered this virus.
This things have been going on for decades eg the russians use poison for the targets and same as china they kill their own people just to speaking out.
These 2 countries should not have been allowed to have anything to do with the rest of the world let alone let them control the world. And like you said this wasn't an accident they meant to do it and it has had the effect they wanted and the world will be feeling it for the rest of its existence. Talk now is that countries are pulling companies out of china I believe japan has been bringing them back at a fast rate. But once the cat is out its too late for that bird.
The only solution is for the world to go back to its roots and produce and manufacture their own goods and stop trading with them and see how powerful they can be. I feel sorry for the minority of these countries as they don't prosper from anything and in fact, most of them live in poverty.

Sorry, but you're ignoring history in what you say. "Globalisation" is nothing new. The British empire was based on exactly what China has and is doing, gathering raw materials at the cheapest cost and making things the rest of the world wants and doing so at a vast profit (where did Titus Salt get the money to build Saltaire in the outskirts of Bradford?). We complain now because we know about it, not because it hasn't happened before.

And what if our governments? We in Europe now depend (DEPEND), on energy from Russia, and European countries have fostered that relationship, why? Because it serves the "European project" the forbears of the likes of Macron and Merkel have nurtured for years. We in the UK sell our national assets to the highest bidder not because we are beholden to Russia or China, but to the greater god of the cheapest bidder and we do it because OUR GOVERNMENTS ALLOW IT!!!

The EFL have notified clubs that the earliest fans are likely to be allowed back in grounds is October 1st. All football, whether it be finishing this season or starting the new one, will be behind closed doors until then. They also stated this was the 'best case scenario', it could well be later than that, possibly into 2021.

Hate to agree with you NW but I can't see anyway forward until we have a cure/vaccine for this virus..Football as we know it is a long long way away.

Actually read today that there's less likelihood of null and void, as the clubs yesterday across Fifa agreed that the way forward was to complete still - unanimously. FIFA also stated that they will allow individual countries' associations to decide on a process for ending a season, if it needs to be ended because government policy means it can't be played. They've said each country will be allowed its own approach, but the points per game process was heavily trailed.

So in terms of a likely ending to this season, that got me thinking how i'd feel with us being promoted like that.

Previously i've said i would feel a bit cheated in some ways of the glory, but actually, f uk it, we were the best team in the league all season, were in first place, and have been in the top two for virtually the whole of the season, and most of last season.

So if it does happen that we get promoted like that, we deserve it.

That is why I previously stated Politicians and corporations run the world. Here in Australia, we have so much gas and other energy products which we sell yes sell to china for 5 cents a kilowatt but the local companies charge it's inhabitants over 1 dollar per kilowatt.
Years ago gas and electricity were provided and owned by the government and in turn, the big corporations bought them out as it was supposed to bring in competition and cheaper prices but in fact prices have skyrocketed through the roof. For example and a true one at that. I get paid the disability pension which is 935 per fortnight and my gas bill is 700 every 2 months. Electricity is like 350 a month thanks to these corporations and politicians I live in the lucky country lol
Ps Australia has lost all of its manufacturing even to this day we lost all our car manufacturing due to the governments selling off our gas and electricity companies and they could no longer afford the extraordinary prices this companies were charging them.
Anyway, we can say all we can the bottom line is Business as usual as they only look after it's own pocket and give rats a--- about others.
