I remember Maurice Malpas making a similar comment about Jim McLean but he was talking more of his tactical nous, emphasis on fitness and motivational coaches long before they became fashionable. I'd be interested to know the boards' opinion on Lee McCullochs' statement in todays' Courier?
im saying f uck all here
Pissed my pants when I read the comments about Neilson if I'm being honest.
He'll know better than most so good comments and not the first time he has said how much he thinks of Neilson, many of the players the same, including senior guys like Butcher.
His record backs up these comments so far.
I've said it before, no one, absolutely no one, is going to go the press and tell them anything other than the fact they think their boss is great.
Years ahead of his time. Deary me.
Where can I read this guys?
OK just noticed it's in the Courier.
I'll read it tomorrow...... Still high as a kite watching my father's team beating my team 3 - 2 on BBC Scotland tonight

Yes, he was just lying for the sake of it on open goal with si ferry
There is no need for him to say these things either, he had worked under great managers and is a winner playing for years a clubs expected to win every game, he knows when a manager gets respect of a dressing room and he clearly rates Neilson, it's not just fur the sake of saying it imo
Now the positive is, results and other things show that Neilson is doing something right, not only that he is clearly very motivafed and driven, this is good for Utd, he has a plan, and he can still improve while here which is also good for us, mistakes will be made, sir Alex made plenty, served during his hey dey with Man Utd, there is no perfect manager
For us though, we have a good one there is a good chance if this cab get back ty normality we can build something strong with him as the helm especially why Ogren overseeing it with some backing... The successful clubs as we knows from recent past do well with continuity.
Years ahead of his time though? Really? That's ****ing Pep Guardiola talk ffs.
