A bit in the news today that the semis and final of this season’s tournament will definitely be getting played at some point, likely near the start of whenever the new season kicks in. I’ve just realised that it’s a wee bit frustrating that we didn’t now get past Hibs which we could have done. We’d have ended up with BSC Glasgow and then ICT to get to a semi against a Hearts team which by then as we now know may well have been decimated by relegation coupled with our undoubted strengthening after promotion. The West Coast tribute act was also out too. Not saying we’d have won it, but getting to the Final would certainly have been realistic.

This argument comes up a lot for all teams when thinking about what may have been but its not as simple as "we would have been in Hibs place in the draw". Are the numbered balls not set alphabetically before each draw and therefore we could have been drawn against any team assuming we had got through, which we didn't? Not worth speculating about imo!
