Unless the 2m apart rule is enforced, which is almost impossible, it is being observed or ignored at will. I have waited outside supermarkets where customers have been between two and fifte!n yards apart then six or seven are allowed in at once, only for them all to follow each other down the same aisles. Some flinch at others coming towards them, others couldn't care less. When I asked why the staff weren't allowing a "one out and one in" flow to prevent bunching I was met with a blank stare.

Is it advisory? If so, how can people be fined?

It's not left / right / Brexit revenge, it's about what is right and wrong.

Hmm. These 14,000 people who were fined will be furious when they find out the government’s rules were only ‘advisory’.

I was being facetious, I didn't really think he was almost in tears because Wilko was busy!

It's just not like dam617 to criticise the government, he saves all his criticism for the left.

I think you are missing the point, please keep up at the back. Hardly anyone is saying he should be arrested. He should be fired for diluting and ignoring a very clear (maybe not) Govt policy and utter arrogance. His life should be thrown into chaos as that seems to be his favourite state. I don't think the left are clutching at straws they are tightly fixed round his neck and hopefully the little worm will suffer like so many have due to his influence.
BTW are the 100% hindsight mob the ones who have been saying for years 'if you underinvest in public services then they will be unable to cope when the **** hits the fan' ?

The excuse is irrelevant; all Bushwacka is doing (that I can see) was providing a quick reply to your ridiculous straw man. Unless Naz Shah was in the car with the Cummings, perhaps?

It's funny how you, the horse, even optipez, are going out of your way to say that this is all just remainers trying to oust Cummings by any means necessary, while all you are doing is being so desperate to protect your Brexit hero that you are falling over yourselves to defend the indefensible. Now we are on to the semantics of the word 'advisory', brilliant. Tell me, whose job is it to provide clear, concise communication and leadership to the country in a crisis...?

I despise Cummings and all he stands for - I'll admit that. But if this story was about one of your fave punching bags on "my" side, like Corbyn, or Abbott, or one of those scary Muslims - or let's be close to equivalent, let's even say it was Starmer who had done this - you would be frothing at the mouth to demand their head on a platter. And you know what? I'd want THEM to resign or be sacked too. That's the difference.

But even more important than all this; although navy seems to want to get his wife to do some spying to check you're not making it up for some reason, I hope your daughter is responding to treatment and doing as well as possible, Bushwacka. Thoughts are with her, you, and your family.
