Libel is actually pretty well defined. You can write "you think...." or "in your opinion" that X is whatever and it doesn't matter if X is whatever or not. Write that X IS whatever and X isn't then you could be in trouble, financially.

Apologies to RA, seeing as we are well off topic.

But if you have time all, here's a great chap to listen to in an audio book.

In my opinion that is correct MA and Mista might be well advised to delete his post which does not express an opinion, privileged or otherwise

As ever with your links, Tricky, the interesting part is not what you link to, but the "also viewed by" section!!

I have bitten my tongue as Andy asked me to in a PM. Your mate Swale knows his and whilst trying to get a bite, sails as close as he dare to the insult fence, without launching his usual full blown abuse.
    Keep going, it's quite funny.

I pick out Lammy and Abbot, due to their blatent racist messages and tweets, whilst screaming about racism all the time.
They get away with it and nothing is done. Pot and kettle spring to mind.
    Do you want the lists?
They are very quick to nail Johnson for one of his moronic quotes, but seem oblivious that racism works both ways. Or are you denying they don't spout anti white/Jewish remarks?

But to get you into the details now of your remark-
    racist
    /ˈreɪsɪst/
    adjective

    1.
prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized:

Exactly who have I singled out to be a "racist"
Probably the most stupid thing you have ever said , You seem hell bent on pushing for a fight"
Christ I will be feeling sorry for you next Coming from somebody who has push the boundaries of acceptance on this site for years

So, getting back on topic...the Merseyside derby, which might result in Liverpool ‘clinching’ the title is due to be played a week tonight.

Always a huge local attraction does it make any sense at all for this match to take place at Goodison?

Imo opinion it is ridiculous and an absolute abdication of responsibility by local government, national government and the football authorities.
Merseyside is undoubtedly a hotbed of football and also a relative hotbed of Covid-19.

I’d be amazed if the match goes ahead without rival fans gathering in the vicinity which is just something we, and the local area, can surely all do without.

I get your point RA. But surely that applies to lots of local derbys .We are due to play you on 04/07. Luckily PP is isolated and may not see supporters mixing. But what about places like Ilkeston, which has a 50/50 split?
These games are going to be televised afterall.

I agree rA, but if you moved it somewhere else, who is to say that the Scousers wouldn't go to Stanley Park anyway to celebrate it "coming home" after all these years.

Unfortunately, with these protest marches preceding the restart of the season, I can only see trouble ahead.

The neanderthals amongst the football family will think, if it's okay for everyone else, why can't we do what we like?

In all honesty the authorities have little control over what happens impromptu in places like Ilkeston and Long Eaton after a Derby v Forest match. Everton v Liverpool is massive in terms of bragging rights but ultimately meaningless in terms of the destination of the title. Feel sure both trouble and social distancing rule breaking could be avoided with more decisiveness from the authorities.
