Do you have some problem with that?
Absolutely. Wasn’t relevant. Plenty of Chinese, Asian, and Polish kids are in Poverty and need help. The Black bit was an obvious attempt to squeeze the emotion out of the current climate. And if you think any other then I’m sorry Exile, you really cannot see what’s in front of you and therefore, although your opinion matters just as much as mine, I disagree and won’t debate it further. We ha e different views, and for me it’s not about “winning the arguement”

Boris ez just sed at the Press Conference that he wasn't even aware of the Marcus Rashford campaign until this morning so, according to Boris, the U Turn on providing free school meals ovva the summer, ed nowt to do with that campaign and was down to, as sooin as Boris heard the arguments, he did the reyt thing and changed the policy. I, for one, believe what Boris sed cos he has just sed it to the nation.
All this Rashford stuff is irrelevant. It's all down to Boris.

(One curious thing abart this is yesterday a No10 spokesman said Boris had received his letter and would speak to him tomorrow--- the spokesman must be confused)

Hasn't that got Dominic Cummings all over it
    Knock knock,come in Dom
This Rashford bloke has put our policy in the brown stuff
    Any suggestions Dom
Simples just say that you had never heard of him or his campaign, thereby making it look that the decision was yours unsolicited
    Brilliant Dom & very Trumpesque
& all those Tory MP's screaming for you to change the policy will be embarrassed to have ever doubted you
It was the right decision to keep you on
Well done as I think the British public are thick

Rashford's done more good in the last 24 hours than Johnson's done in his entire life .

That's not even mentioning the £20m Marcus has raised with his food distribution scheme since the lockdown began .

He certainly has. A young lad who has done his bit. No question about his efforts. Result for Rashford.
Boris was Probably behind the letter all the time, I reckon it was a set up. "Listen Rashy..."We need a deflection tactic" something that'll make it look like we listen to people of colour, and take notice...... might just calm things down "
How do you fancy being a hero, you are already doing plenty but ....... What you do is .......

Absolutely right Exile. I love to imitate you. I can be argumentative, pedantic, “previous post fanatic”, and persistently annoying, Poking, prodding, and irritating.
I make it my business to challenge your thoughts, just for the hell of it , purely because you don’t like it.
I’m claiming this u-turn as a Victory for Boris! He has listened to One letter.

    Most of all though,
It’s a great victory for the Kids. But I’m sure you will eventually claim it’s a Labour one.

It was raised a week ago at PMQ's but Boris sed "No wi not changing"
As the pressure built in the next few days Boris/Cummings were in a hole because they knew they were onna loser but couldn't be seen to U turn on a Labour demand. A succession of Ministers including Rishi were sent out on the media to defend the "hungry kids" issue but they were losing the battle. The Rashford letter was a political godsend. Yesterday Boris could pretend he was responding solely to the letter and tick several political boxes at once--

    - the caring Boris who steps in to save the hungry kids
    - the Boris who responds to inequalities in society
    - the Boris who listens to a black celebrity in popular culture

How could No 10 not do it ? Got out of a political hole nicely with that one.
