Agree but can you see him at the New York stadium next season in the home side? I can't.

We know all about Jackson Irvine animal.
Last time we were in the Championship he scored two goals against us at NYS.
He also came on as a 60th minute substitute when we played Hull in the FA Cup back in January.
Decent player, just can't see it happening.

But would he fit in with the Warne training regime ?

Would Rawson on a short term contract, get a turnaround on his career with Warne & Woody setting a example, & getting the best out of the player, at his age, it could benefit him & our club, no fee to pay, just the wages.

It needn't be a 'turnaround', having a look at their forum there is no way he's left for footballing reasons. They think he'll go to a higher level and they're all sad to see him leave.

Its probably because they wouldn't be able to afford him or he's planning to play at a higher level.

"Rawson was outstanding this season and I’m Very sorry to see him go. I presume he is looking at EFL1 or Championship." was one comment.

I’d like to think so but what’s the reason he isn’t doing too good?
Maybe he needs to want it and get on a fitness regime, he didn’t have a injury did he that’s taking it toll?
Still at 23 he’s got time if he wants it

Financially are clubs going to take a risk? I think a 12 month contract at 23 is worth a punt. We know he could play but can he get back to the same standard or even better?

Hes not worth that risk, not in the Championship.

    In league one, certainly.

However we have Tilt who we've not seen much of either and so it's hard to state a man who played for us several seasons ago is worth a punt in the Championship given our limited funding and the fact that better players will become available between now and the end of the season proper.

Players that usually we would not have been able to pick up.

I forgot Rawson had this head injury, maybe that’s had in impact.

Anyway I’m sure Warney and co will know if he’s worth a punt or not

I liked rawson he showed great promise but we have icky Robertson tilt and wood with Thompson and cooper also able to fill that roll if push came to shove. I don’t think a centre back is needed At this point
