No news if this Nisbet bid has been accepted or rejected yet? Going by the Dunf chairman's previous comments you'd have expected him to throw it out straight away.

    Funny that...

Yes, very funny huh? If we were miles below with a 'derogatory' offer you'd think he'd be straight in the press bumping his gums given we've pissed him off 'so much' already. Imo they'll get no other serious offers for the boy, & they know they will get nothing for him in 6 months so we won't be far away with £250K. They're probably hoping another bid comes in from elsewhere pretty soon to play us off with but I don't think it'll come.

When the article says it falls well below their valuation, would that not indicate that it's been rejected? Just a thought

Not for me. I think again that might be him just bumping his gums as mentioned above. Details of the bid leaked to the press by him with the add-on that its below his valuation... but no confirmation its actually been rejected. Thats him scared to reject imo.

Yeah. I’m not convinced we face that much (if any) competition.

Other teams outside OF unlikely tournament be in good position.

I don’t think Shrewsbury very tempting for a young lad aiming at the big time

There's absolutely nothing in the article to suggest what the valuation is or that the chairman has suggested this. Any club with a firm stance and determination that they won't be held to ransom would have made a strong statement of rejection by now imo. They were quick enough to make a statement when we spoke about our interest. Total paper talk for me.
As always, we'll go in with £250K, up it to slightly more, then get him for less than what the offer was in January. I can't see it going any higher than £350K tbh. They simply won't hold out for the 'best part of half a million' offer they got in January. They're skint and they're Dunfermline. They don't get money like this offered to them every day.
