Budge has certainly been shown up here with her initial portrayal of having the best interests of Scottish fitba at heart, but the longer this has gone on it’s obvious that’s not what her real intentions are.

In saying this though, I firmly believe the powers that be have once again made a royal erse of things. It was clear from the outset that hearts, Raith and Stranraer would be majorly affected, and for me discussions regarding compensation should have been a priority.

Absolutely agree regarding the compensation in principle. But at the end of the day that likely would have come from skimming off other Clubs prize money in order to give more to the relegated Clubs which therefore would have necessitated a vote - and frankly we all know how that would have worked out.

Isn't anyone else slightly concerned by this? I am, and clearly our club are, given it seems they've put our transfer business on hold until our status for season 20/21 is confirmed by the courts.

No, not for me - this is doomed to fail on a whole number of levels and if the SPFL had been seriously worried about it’s potential they wouldn’t have pushed for calling the Leagues as they did. I seem to remember Doncaster and several other SPFL reps saying that they had taken their own extensive legal advice before pushing for calling the Leagues with the express knowledge that Hearts were likely to attempt to do exactly what they are now trying.

My concern is any delay or suspension of league start - which would be an incredible thing to do from a judge. Totally unjustifiable. But its called law and they make it up as they go along. There is no way promotions will be stopped - worst case a 13 team league? but even then i cant see that. For hearts to now go to the depths of trying to stop promotions and not just even look after themselves is the lowest of low. They have moved from being all about hearts to not caring what clubs or whole of scottish football they further harm. All under the guise of "the good of scottish football" - its even more embarrasing to hear than the immortal words of "better than a cup win"

Hope both of them liquidate.

In terms of expulsion I don’t think that will happen.

Hard to think though of clubs doing something worse than holding a gun against the clubs head asking for £10 Million.

Only the old firm and a few others could maybe survive this.

The only people to gain from this will be the lawyers.

Even if the spfl and clubs win - which they should - then this will cost a lot of money at a time when it cannot be afforded by Scottish football.

How do you know we actually have put transfer business on hold though? Just because the media suggested we have been sidetracked doesn't really make anything definite. Unless of course you've heard anything else?

Agreed. We'll still be powering on with it, however the actual signing on the dotted lines now may have to wait until this has been cleared up. Wont take long I'd imagine.
