Doubt very much it was the first RN had heard of it though I would bet.................

United's current structure means this will be less affected than it would have previously been. Be good to get a new man in sooner rather than later though.

What I don’t understand is that Hearts are contesting relegation so the first thing they do is sack their manager invoking a clause due to,er, relegation.

Tommy wright was actually mentioned with the hearts job yesterday and this was written about him

Working with a budget that was consistently dwarfed by Hearts’ – and most top-flight clubs – he won the Scottish Cup, reached two cup semi-finals, finished fourth three times and in the top six four times.

    No brainer for me

Just a hunch but RN going to Hearts might signify an intention on the part of Budge to drop the legal case and take relegation on the chin in the hope that they can get back up in just one season believing Nielson to be the man with a proven record at Championship level.

Hope so but maybe wishful thinking, surely she's going to have egg on her face if she caves now...

Exactly M, playing 4-4-2 and adding some width to the side and not playing favorites we should be fine and hold our own, yes we need to strengthen areas but we at least don't need a full rebuild as we have most seasons

Sure i read Shanlank promoted us, he did and the rest of the squad did, united. RN made life very difficult for us at times and who can forget fist pumping penalties against St f ucking Mirren
