Agreed. We HAVE to get this right. We seem to have been going through this process constantly for the last 4 or 5 years.

Spot on! we've spent years trying to get out of the championship with big budgets and different managers, we finally do it. it would be typical united if we mucked about with this appointment and made the risky one and set us back again.

Normally i hate the safer appointments as i dont feel they have much ambition behind it but surely this time is the right time to get someone like Wright in. might not be the fans fave, might not be the Attractive expansive football manager but he has a good record, out of work and would be a safe pair of hands to re establish us in the top flight.

Derek Adams and Marijo Tot (Slaven Bilic assistant recently) are the latest names to be linked.

Adams is a no for me and obviously none of us have a single clue about Tot. Although he has lots of experience as a Manager after a quick google. Also there are some quotes in the article from a source close to him to looks like he has applied.

He's already played us once before though. Not interested in someone who would rather be elsewhere.

My biggest worry is the jury is still out on Tony Asghar and with the owners having very little knowledge of Scottish football it will most likely be his decision.I am not criticising him but some of the things he says do not come over very well.

I still think that Mark Ogren has followed a better model than the Dees owner though by getting someone Scottish with football knowledge to run the club rather than sending over his mate from the USA.

Is Tot the new Golac? Wins the cup then leaves? For me the only positive is the access possibly to probable decent talent market from Croatia, Serbia etc. Who can forget Petric, the closest imho to Dave Narey we have ever had.

Derek Adams is probably one of the least inspiring names thrown in to the ring. Tot seems to have managed 10 clubs and 2 years is his longest stint and that was the Women's international team. The other 9 one season. That should raise some alarm bells.
