Aye but the NHS was a bit busy with other things then! Everyone that I know that contracted COVID (OK, only 4) got it in hospital: so would you have voluntarily gone in to that ****storm for something that was previously scheduled for after the then season's end

It's an area where I think we need more depth, maybe not Winnall but someone
If he can get fit and is staying Marriott is the best striker we have imo. If he’s moving we’ll have enough to get something better than Winnall. Along with Waghorn and Martin and scoring contributions from elsewhere I think we’re okay.
Having said that, wouldn’t mind Steven Fletcher on a one year contract. Getting on a bit, but a good goal scorer, been released and could be very useful used as a regular sub.

I believe all hospitals were focussed on supporting covid patients, regardless of pay status

[QUOTE=Geoff Parkstone;39517259]He must constantly get himself in a in a hole given his consistent groin injuries. Apologies, ironic content not immediately obvious in text

Holes in the golf course if the rumours are true

He was good in his day, but why would we want a player at the end of his career? A drain on the wages and no guarantee of producing anything, we should be looking for fresh blood, not old has beens.

Never any guarantees no matter how much you spend Christ we've proved that enough times .Yes we looked for fresh blood when we bought Marriott and Lawrence that's gone well hasn't it . I didn't say give him a five year contract on £30,000 a week ,I actually said I would take him for a year He's a goal scorer, he's a target man ,he's a great header ,he's free .What more do you want

Remember Franny Lee coming here right at the end of his career, he ended up a key player in a championship winning and nearly a double winning side.
