How about AgentMac? Not that I want him considered but simply so I can gratuitously re-post this image. Because we can.

You know what I'm surprised he hasnt been mentioned. Considering some of the sh1te being banded about. I would imagine he would have applied for the job. We could do a lot worse. But again, not a stando-out and his time at Dundee was utterly horrendous.

So many names linked it is hard to know where to even begin thinking

To me, and just a personal view, Tommy Wright is the least exciting prospect. Not arguing against his credentials but personally would like us to take more of a risk and stick by the principles we are promoting of developing young players and to me that should include managers.

That said, I dont actually have a clue as to who I want! Reckon I do have enough faith in those making the decision to get it right though. Cant possibly be a unanimously popular choice as seen by reading this board, but hope whoever it is gets a fair crack at it before being judged.

If Nigel cough wanted it then I would be interested. Has a very good record and worked at Burton for long periods - so knows how to get most out of team

Bit worried that in interviewing we are not considering anyone currently in work - eg not heard that we are asking livi to speak to holt or anything similar.

If we are limiting ourselves to only the out of work managers to consider then we could be missing out on the best candidates

Agreed. We all need to get behind the management team, whoever that turns out to be. We can’t afford sniping at choice before they have even had an opportunity to bed in a team and tactics. Things may take time and they will need our support.

Ogren had a vision to not only get us to the top league but to challenge for top 6, he was wiling to invest to get Shankland to achieve target 1, surely we should trust that he will invest wisely to achieve top 6.

He is after a profit and won't get that if we get relegated or struggle and fans get cheesed. He cannot seriously go for an unproven inexperienced or up and coming.
He must know fans feelings were split re Neilson from Dec to March even though we were top by a mile.

I trust Ogren to get it right he hasn't done badly do far or let us down
