Micky Mellon just relegated with tranmere and doesn’t know Scottish leagues

Robertson I don’t like much. Absolute long ball merchant. Found his level with ICT. No thanks

    Proven manager please

McCulloch and Forrest had no past links to Neilson - definitely compo due there

Hearts will play chicken with us if they want McCulloch and Forrest. If we put a manager in place who wants to bring in his own men, its likely we'll just let them leave for nothing. However if we appoint someone like Robson who wont have his own people, I'd expect us to play a bit of hardball and look for compo. Its more likely be the former imo.

Fudgie loves a game of chicken,if only Hearts could have replicated their off field fighting spirit onto the pitch. They would have stopped 9 in a row and won the treble.

Malky Mackay gets my vote. Apart from Holt he is the first to make me enthusiastic.

Relegated from League One after winning back to back promotions from the National League to get there.😉

They were 3 points from safety, had a game in hand, were fourth in the form table and had 10 games to play. Chances are they may have survived.

Really not sure on Mackay. He was okay at Watford, good at Cardiff but terrible most recently at Wigan & has the baggage of the comments he made. Also hasn't managed a football club in 5 years. He's definitely an interesting name however. Former Premier League managers don't come round very often. Steve Clarke is ringing a bell here and look what he did at Killie. The baggage is definitely an issue, although he has been through a rehabilitation programme and was backed by the 'Kick It Out' campaign group when he got the Scotland job. I guess it's the baggage of those comments that make him available. He'd probably still be in club management otherwise. Would be a very ballsy appointment however I'm sure after the initial period, what had gone on before him, would be almost forgotten with the fans.

I don't know the man so possibly a bit unfair but i think Tony is the type to at least interview Malky.By the way given some of the names put forward on this thread that would not be a bad thing.

Anyone interviewed for the NI job should now be discarded,if the man they appoint makes an erse of it they will be interviewing our manager in the future. The managers interviewed have already decided they would rather manage NI than United anyway.

I also cannot believe some posters are thinking Jack Ross would leave Hibs to manage us,sorry but that's no happening.

Football wise McKay wouldn't be a bad shout. If the club were to appoint him though it would need to be prepared for a storm of negative coverage and at a time when BLM is high profile both within the game and in wider society it is not the best timing to become intertwined in all this.
