right slightly controversial here but is anything he's said any worse than what people have read on social media or heard in boozers, some posters on here of old had said worse IMO.

Granted he's in the spotlight due to his position and who he is, yes he shouldn't have said these things but are any of us angels?

The comments on the woman agent, well we've all said worse about women, the racist remarks were out of order but the term chinky is used by most people every weekend where people will say they're getting a chinky for tea, now im not saying its right as its not PC and it is offensive depending on what context it's used in but we've all been guilty of using this term in regards to food.

The comment about the South Korean eating dogs is no different from 50,000 huns signing nakamura ate my dug song, again its not right but hes not the first person to say this kind of thing and wont be the last

He's sent some text messages that he shouldn't have and were wrong, he was punished went through a rehabilitation programme and has been forgiven by anti racist group Kick It Out, move on.

Its all to do with timing i suppose,and our's is lousy.Is this man allowed to work for the SFA yet banished from our dugout because of 3 texts sent 7 years ago?.
It was not long ago that taking the knee was deemed disrespectful now its all the rage.When i was in the army a homo***ual was given a dishonourable discharge if the authorities found out,now being Gay is celebrated in the streets.
Its a worry that all the protesters at the rallies want equal rights for blacks,ethnic minorities,Lesbians,homo***uals etc etc but 3 texts can ruin a white man's career.

I’m not sure what more the guy could/can do. We’ve ALL made mistakes in life and yes I get the double standards regarding Goodie - I wonder if some of the same MacKay doubters would conversely have accepted Goodie back with open arms. I wouldn’t want to see Goodwillie anywhere near a Tangerine jersey ever again, precisely as he has expressed no remorse or acceptance that whatever happened that night was in anyway caused by his behaviour. In contrast, MacKay has been the exact opposite and IMHO deserves a second chance. I was a Tommy Wright fanboy previously, but the MacKay thing has come in from left field and the one I would want to see in place now to be honest. Without a shadow of a doubt he would represent a massive upgrade on his predecessor and we’d come out with 200k in our hipper on top. Win-Win in my book.

He's exactly the kind of appointment I expected tbh. I said it here the other day. I'm be glad we haven't jumped on the managerial journeymen merry go round if it is him. Just hope he can replicate his early successes with us, as it went terribly wrong for him at Wigan.

Something tells me we're just not gonna go for one of the usual suspects. The American owners, coupled with Asghar.... I have a feeling there gonna go in a completely direction with this and surprise us all.
