As before agree mate. He wld be my choice. But all momentum appears to be around McLaren. Just now every morning I’m like a kid at Christmas only to be disappointed by lack of info! Just get the phlucking manager announced and be done with it. Also tomorrow cld be the day we find out we are in the prem after they throw out the case! 🤞

Either McLaren or Mackay would be absolutely fantastic. McLaren just edging it for me.
I'm slightly worried that this court case is going to screw us with a bad verdict or just the length of time it will take

Agree hence the number and quality of candidates, not quite understanding the impatience and pessimistic views though, we need to trust that our ship is being run correctly and will continue, if our owner wants to check and take time then we should respect that

Of course. We are all dying to see who the new manager is but it's more important to do it right.

With McLaren I would expect money will be the biggest stumbling block. He would have to expect a salary considerably less than he used to even in the Championship in England. His playing budget will be less as well and attracting players on wages that cant compete with Championship in England either. It would be a new challenge for him and owners have ambitions for United. Mclaren holds the cards with this one and I suspect it will be more about club persuading him to come rather than him pleading to get the job
Malky McKay on the other hand this is his big chance to get back in to club football and rehabilitate his image. I would expect he would need less persuading. And if United cant land McLaren McKay will be the next choice.

The ‘stumbling block’ with Schteve could be backroom staff or something else other than money of course. I just have this nagging doubt though that from a footballing perspective, we should be aiming for Malky Mackay. I would hope to be proven wrong of course.

I feel like Mackays gonna be driven, he's gonna be hungry to succeed. He's gonna want to build his name & reputation back up and he'll go all out to do it. Not sure what McClarens motives would be for coming here. Even if he makes us a success, 3rd place in the Scottish Premiership ain't gonna get him a big job in England. They think he's a washed up, has-been down there. Unless of course he thinks he's capable of winning the title, but there's more chance of McJake doing that with the Dees in the Championship. Actually, there isn't.

McClaren like every football man will want to be in football. He will already be rich so hopefully money not the issue. Has apparently previous relationship with asghar which helps. He’s shown he does not mind going abroad and he wants to coach.

I am really waiting for some potential good news here
