(time we don't have). Clearly McClaren was his man but after that didnt happen, we seem to have went back to square one. Now we are still speaking to people?!? surely this should have all been done by now? the Wright comment he made aswell?

i hope he gets the right man in but he seems to be unsure of what to do here.
I trust him more to appoint the right man more than I do Stephen Thompson, Mike Martin or Mark Ogren for that matter. Having been an Agent for such a long time and helped Ogren with the takeover of our club, I'm not going to doubt his credentials and his ability to appoint someone that will work well for the club.

Probably true, but Wright clearly doesn't fit our structure, so I think we have to forget about him as a candidate for the time being. Asghar imo, wants someone who's not gonna try & undermine him, who's gonna be happy with players being brought to him rather than solely sourcing the players himself. Wright had publicly spoke out against his superiors numerous times at St. Johnstone which led to fall outs & eventually, I suspect, him quitting.

It's clear, to me at least, that Tommy Wright is not an option. Whether it's by his choice or ours he has been ruled out, so literally no point in continuing to debate his merits. We have stopped discussing McClaren now that he's no longer an option, I suggest we do the same with TW.

    This.

We've gone from a chairman who thought Mixu ****ing Paatelainen was the best candidate for the job, to someone who had Steve McClaren & Malky Mackay at the top of his wish list.

Quite a telling part of that interview with Asghar:

"Sometimes you need experience, but sometimes you need someone who is hungry, enthusiastic, ambitious, and wants to develop the team".

“So I don’t think you can just say, ‘we must go with experience".

“Top-level managers have gone into jobs before and not been successful. It will come down to whether the person we get fits into the environment that we have created here.”

Mackay comes in at 9/4 from 6/1 on Wm Hill. Mellon lengthens from 2/5 to 4/7. Mackay not dead yet.

It's amazing what effect a newspaper article can have.
