not pure conjecture. He has been backed by anti-racism groups when he got the Scotland gig

Quote right moicher , yet still not good enough for some people , anti racism groups are far more qualified than anyone to assess who is acceptable , the fact they endorse McKay should be good enough for anyone , in fact knowing this anyone still not happy are themselves guilty of discrimination

I wonder if you will all come on and say the same thing next summer, should we appoint Mackay and he were to fail miserably. I just don't see why people are clamouring to give him the job? There is absolutely no guarantee that he will be a success.Whichever way you look at it, he is tarnished. Doesn't matter whether or not he is completely reformed, the press and other fans will make hay anyway. And if he falls flat on his puss and gets sacked, fans will all be getting on his back and all this stuff will re-emerge. As another poster said, better to avoid the negative publicity for the sake of the clubs image and leave the guy to his well paid job out of the limelight.

I think people are 'clamouring' because he looks like the best qualified and the most likely to play an attacking line-up. I'm not getting excited about Wright (sounds dull as dishwater) and never heard of Mellon and there no other candidate thats offering experience and excitement on the pitch. I dont think it tarnishes our image to give someone a second chance. We've done it with players (Robson) and i dont see a problem with giving him a chance to redeem himself and move on in his managerial life.

The man has paid the price for his comments and lost a large chunk of his career.

Wow, he can't be a racist anymore then! 🤣 It's a way to say you've seen the light and you won't do it again so you can clear your name and get a new job.

Be nice to get it settled, lad on tek has spent two days reading and listening to everything about this fella and his credentials are better than he is being given credit for by some folk. I'd rather see this guy given a chance and it's looking likely based on that report.
