The wording of MSM posts has the feel of someone working in an official capacity. I agree that their information has, on occasion been correct, but not always.

If they wasn't working in an official capacity and they were leaking stories on fans forums then I don't think the club would have much difficulty identifying.

The emergence of this Vancouver_Don on Pie and Bovril is also making me suspicious.

Why wouldn't the club use the forums surreptitiously to peddle a line? It seems that everyone on here doesn't want to frighten MSM off.

However, I'm confident we won't see an 'International Striker' at AFC in this year.

The club doesn't need negativity at this time when it's trying to swindle the supporters into buying season tickets for matches that they still might not see even with a limited capacity.

I have my doubts about the liklihood of the 'International striker' signing...
My take on it is that we've been actively trying to punt Cosgrove. I'm sure MSM mentioned the same months and months ago. It makes sense and perhaps the offer was something they had already discussed.

I don't think the club is swindling anyone. I'm as negative as most when it comes to a lot of things, like Mandron sounding again like DM can't think tactically and just signs direct replacements on their physicality, but I bought a season ticket. The club could potentially go to the wall. Especially if there's another significant spike like predicted. Further to that, all the other clubs supporters have stepped up. When DM, Cormack, Milne and all the rest are gone, the club and ourselves will still be around.

So let's no get wide about Mainstandmoan. The information has been solid over the years.

They've put out an unsubstantiated claim that the limited capacity will be 7,500. If that is going to be the limited capacity, even for just a few games (which is unlikely, it's more likely to be until a vaccine is found and widely distributed) then why are they continuing to sell season tickets above that mark. If there is another significant spike in cases, perhaps around winter, then there is unlikely to be much fans going through the turnstiles next season.

Whether he's deferring his wages until next summer or not, if the club are serious danger of going out of business, then why are we signing Hayes. Why aren't we cutting our cloth to the financial environment we're operating in. There is a possibility that we won't see the whole stadium open until the start of 2021/2022.

I'm not getting wide about MSM or disputing the accuracy of some of his predictions. I'm questioning whether he/she is doing it off their own bat, or if he/she is acting at the club's behest. The latter makes more sense to me, and the 'international striker' line part of the ongoing marketing campaign to shift more season tickets on top of the 7,500 capacity (the capacity the club ambitiously suggest if we're social distancing at 1 metre although, as far as I'm aware, Scotland continues to operate at a 2 metre distance) that they've already sold.

Did Elgin not get widely criticised for doing the same in a match against Sevco?

Bloody hell, we have an occasional poster with obvious inside information, and we’re having a moan about it.

I don’t keep records but when Main Stand Moan posts something then its worth reading, it’s obviously informed and invariably correct.

It’s also obviously not direct propaganda from the boardroom.

I have a very sensitive “corporate speak” s’hiteometer and it never even twitches into life with any of MSM’s posts.

Of course, if the aforementioned 'international striker' turned out to be Jordan Rhodes then I might stand corrected. I never knew he was over 6 foot...

Definitely worth a punt but he hasn't done anything for four years
