Don't agree, we should tell them where to go and keep one of our two most important players (Shankland and Butcher) for what is a very challenging season to come where we need to strengthen not weaken

Anyone that thinks it wouldn't have a big detrimental negative affect is mistaken, not just on the quality and team but the spirit and morale of the squad and club, to have that happen after whats already gone on

Can't emphasise how important it is we do not let Butcher leave, especially to that club

But surely, if a player WANTS to move, it'll be more detrimental to all the things you mention if we keep them and they don't want to be here.!

Yeah I think this is probably academic as I'm sure he'll want to stay and play for MM in the Premiership. But if you were MM and the player came to you and said he wanted to go and play for RN you'd be asking TA to get him away just not to Hearts because you only want players who're 100% wanting to play for you not someone else.

Right now, we need Butcher as we have no one else to play his role. I'm absolutely certain however, that we could find better. I'd much prefer a ball winning playmaker than a hard *******.

I'm doubtful if he has the pace or the power to bully in the premiership, but even if he does, I'd rather we have 11 on the pitch

Agree with AJ and tHeArAb.

If someone is willing to pay silly money for Butcher then let them, whether it's Hearts or not.........and anyway surely if the posters on here think he's that good then would it not make more sense if he went to a team in a different league from us so he's not in direct opposition?

I don’t understand why some guys are ‘suggesting’ Butcher wants to leave. I haven’t seen anything along those lines in the press. Anywhere. So why mention anything along those lines? We don’t want or need CB to leave - not just for midfield but with no replacement as yet for Watson, he may yet be also reqd at CH. End of.
