What difference does it make when they are told they are getting charged? And how is this related to being awarded compo/their league status back?

Completely agree with the above,it matters not a jot, everything remains up in the air until the independent panel deliver their verdict.

As far as I'm aware, other than the fact the charge is because the two clubs went to a Court of Law instead of arbitration, the two matters and their outcomes are completely unrelated.

Because arbitration is normally/usually meant to be used to sort out issues that two sides will never agree on,then have to agree on the final decision. How can any outside element get involved, and even worse, tell anyone involved in the process that no matter what the outcome is, you are still getting charged ?

Related???? the thread IS "Hearts legal action" I am assuming .... that.... "compo AND league status" just might be included in that ???

Yeah I get that, but the SFA aren't 'getting involved' with the arbitration. Their matter is completely separate, in that their own rules were broken as a result of the route Hearts & Partick took. Everyone knows the rules. It was well documented that Hearts & Partick faced an SFA charge if they took the matter to court. What happens at arbitration won't matter when the SFA case come around.

And I was asking how the timing of them being charged was related to being awarded compo/their league status back.

I don't know if I'm not getting it, or if you're not getting it, but it seems pretty straight forward to me.

Can you imagine of we kick off in the premier, then get punted back down again, I could see a compo claim blitzing the hertz one.

Correct. That could also include every league winning team, promoted team, not to mention you know who screaming about missed play-off places etc, depending what the final outcome of arbitration is.

If as you say , imagining we did get put back in the championship, there would be counter claims galore for lost revenue due to SPL crowds not visiting, and TV companies not televising etc. Huge can of worms, which, could also delay the start of the new season.

The SFA have already made their mind up that Hearts have went the wrong way about this according to their rules (which I agree with) but, in my opinion they have showed their cards too early and it can look like they aren't caring about an independent arbitration process. If the panel decided that Hearts were totally in the right on all counts and made the decision to keep them up what would happen to the SFA charge?

Confusing I know, but I think it would have been more professional to wait for the outcome of the panel before publicly charging Hearts.

Don't get me wrong , I hope the panel make the right decision and the SFA throw the whole library at Hearts, but I think the timing could have been better.
