Would agree with this but you can never write them off when it comes to weakening competition. I think Shanks has committed to a season with us in the top flight and I expect him to be with us until at least January and hopefully til the summer.

Gerrard will have made enquiries about Lallana and if Morelos goes he'll be looking another Jermaine Defoe type signing from Engerland imo

We honestly cannot afford to let any player go,if we did its a one year jolly and the derbies are back.Everyone know's we needed at least 3 in to be competitive but the virus and Hearts have put everything on hold.

Agree with GB that we can't afford to be weakening right now but I'm not as pessimistic as some if we didn't add any players, not anymore, it's an exciting challenge for us for the manager and the players, although a top six club in size we aren't that just now on the park and this will be a good challenge to get behind as underdogs coming back up trying to survive, if we do that this season then that's job done imo

The former is hamstrung and the latter is unproven at that level,10 in a row will have a nice ring to it too.If they get 15 million for Morelos i think they will sign two strikers and use up all the Colombian's transfer fee.

I would reluctantly say cheerio for £7,500,000 though.

Yeah agree they need a big signing but that won't stop them putting in a low offer for Shankland...thought at the time of the statement about the Hearts debacle..about being potentially ruinous and then asking for help with legal money would have both Celtic and Rangers testing United's mettle with a low offer
