DMs inept and negative tactics are killing us
From the kick off the Huns where in total control.
We are shockingly unfit compared with both the Glasgow clubs
I ****ing hate both the wedgie teams but every time we play them their fast, virtually all their passes reach a fellow and they move very quickly because they have plan
We have no plan, no speed no movement and cannot make a two pass to another player in a Red shirt
We play hoofball each and every game
Strangely enough we might finish 3rd this season but only if we have a new manager
DM has no idea, whoever organizes the overall training and players fitness levels needs to be removed from that position
I seen enough already this season to see no improvement made since last season.
That's very worrying
Over to you Dave McCormack you manager is stagnating this club.
Show your leadership DM is not here for life he can be removed
At least.
We are miles behind the huns.
And that’s before they re-invest the €15m for Harvey Price in a couple of better players than him.
Finances dictate football leagues all over the world, why should Scotland be different?
So failure to be 3rd & being day 25 points off 2nd SHOULD be sackable.
Turgid football on a weekly basis for two years SHOULD be too.
COVID-19 saved DM’s a**e & a think we’ll be stuck with him for a while yet.
The time to do that was probably this summer but as Cormack has always said, you don’t make huge decisions in the middle of a crisis.
He was alluding to league reconstruction in the middle of the pandemic but you could just as easily apply it to his own managerial situation.
Difficult to foresee a situation where Cormack bullets DMc mid season unless we’re in relegation bother, which is unlikely - - however sh1te we are - so I’d reckon he’s here for the season.
Just as well there’s no fans around, as the “Derek Derek GTF” chants will be getting aired again and could you really blame them?
Decent squad but playing with ankle shackles on.
The fitness and sharpness was certainly an issue - rangers played in a “tournament” of sorts so they had some semi competitive games while we had nothing more than A couple of training exercises. In the current circumstances maybe there wasn’t much more we could’ve done in that respect so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt there.
For me the biggest thing was we just didn’t look like we believed we could win. It was merely an exercise in trying not to lose a goal, which obviously failed. There was no plan as to what to do when we had the ball, the players showed no composure, responsibility or bravery on the ball - it was just hoofed up the park and straight back to rangers. I’d be amazed if that was the actual plan given that we had Anderson up front - so I can only assume the plan was to play a bit more passing and possession but due to the utter crapness of Ojo and Bryson especially, it didn’t work and that’s why we reverted to hoofball.
A fair summation.
The only way we’ll possibly see him gone this season is if we are out with the top 4.
That’s possible, as I think goals are going to be a struggle with the way he sets the team up.
The Glasgow mobs will be miles ahead.
Forget them.
But Hibs & Motherwell have more goals in them for whatever reason & will be a threat to us being top 4.
I still think we will be top 4, but if we’re not (& assuming we’re don’t win a cup) then at the end of this season, there’s a chance he might get the tin tack.
Your 1st paragraph...
That’s the ONLY excuse I’m giving them for yesterday.
Them playing three more pre-season games than us showed massively.
That’s what I’m clinging to.
The next two weeks we play teams who are in the same position as us pre-season games wise, so that’ll be a better barometer.
Anything less than 6 points will have the anti-McInnes folk grumbling, with a possible filleting at Celtic Park the week after.
Even a draw next week would be poor IMO.
We need to be winning at places like St Johnstone.
Time will tell but I think a top 4 is finish hugely fanciful and optimistic.
Yesterday was a right chance to put a marker down, get the Dons fans watching on TV onside from the off.
Imagine Motherwell putting on a show like that, at home v Sevco? Listless, unambitious, zero energy?
Sounds like you’re convinced we’ll finish behind Motherwell & Hibs?
I’ll hold back and see how we look after the first 6-7 weeks.
You may be right.
The one thing that hit me between the eyes after 5 minutes yesterday was the difference in fitness & sharpness.
They’d played 3 more friendlies than us.
That’s not necessarily the clubs fault, but it was glaringly obvious.
As I’ve said in an earlier post, the next two games are a good barometer as we’re playing teams that have had the same preparation as us.
The jungle drums will be beating pretty hard soon though if we don’t improve.
The pre-season bravado & PR about the entertainment value & exciting brand of football looked like utter nonsense yesterday.
I wouldn’t be averse to a change.
Not sure who right enough.
That said it won’t happen for a while.
Totally agree. The virus saved him and unfortunately he knows it. Listen to his interviews now...never takes the blame and completely bluffs his way around the reality of the match situation. Because Milne had no ambition and thought McInnes was a messiah we as a club will have to stump up a fair wedge to get rid of his incompetence. If I was Cormack and Milne wanted to stay on the board (which he did, but with very little clout) I would have insisted he pays his choice of manager off if a hard decision on his future came up as he gifted him numerous wage increases. Pity we couldn’t have furloughed him and kept his furlough payments going for as long as the government were contributing. It would have severely p!ssed McInnes off but hard chucks as he is severely p!ssing is off being the way he is. The quicker his tenure at Aberdeen comes to an end the quicker we fans can try to look forward to a match day again.
