It seems we are at last getting a few judgements on how "the leadership" have handled the coronavirus crisis. The first of them was about the decisions made concerning care homes:

The decision to allow hospital patients in England to be discharged to care homes without Covid-19 tests at the start of the pandemic has been described as "reckless" by MPs. In a highly critical report, the cross-party committee said the initial decision to allow untested patients into care homes was an "appalling error".

The next was about allowing untested arrivals into the UK:

The spread of coronavirus in the UK could have been slowed with earlier quarantine restrictions on arrivals, a group of MPs has said. The Home Affairs committee said a lack of border measures earlier in the pandemic was a "serious mistake". Citing evidence from scientific studies, they said it was likely that thousands of infected people then arrived in the UK before full lockdown came in 10 days later. It is highly likely that this contributed to the rapid increase in the spread of the virus in mid-March and to the overall scale of the outbreak in the UK, they added. The failure properly to consider the possibility of imposing stricter requirements on those arriving - such as mandatory self-isolation, increased screening, targeted testing or enforceable quarantine - was a serious error.

This isn't some left wing source trying to make political capital, it's the conclusion of a cross-party group of MPs. It means that thousands of people have died before their time due to the incompetence of the buffoons who are supposed to be running the country.

Boris Johnson should be facing manslaughter charges on the grounds of gross negligence.

The shadow cabinet didn't make the decisions that caused so many unnecessary deaths. The governing cabinet did.

Like most. I would welcome an enquiry. Let's have those responsible for the mistakes held to account. That's the way it should be.

Hopefully the electorate at the next election, but I wouldn't put money on it.

The right wing media bias will make it hard to kick this bunch out, however badly they continue to do.

We do not have to wait if enough of us protest, i hate saying this but we must follow the Germans, me i fell out of love with Boris when i found out he is very close friends with Bill and Melinda Gates, and you can bet you bottom dollar his kid wont have the vaccine.

Follow the Germans - how? When and why were you 'in love with' Boris? How do you know he is VERY CLOSE FRIENDS with the Gates? Supposing he is, why is that such a bad thing? Why won't 'his kid' (he has six of them from most accounts) have the vaccine? Do you think any vaccine is risky? Which vaccines have proved their worth and how do you decide?
