In the U.K. ones you reference there’s the report on the Nunnery Colliery accident of 1923.

In researching my family tree I came across the report and one of the names mentioned in the report is “a twig” in the tree.

Interesting is the fact that Nunnery was on the Silkstone seam which indicates how far these coal seams actually run.

Why no memorial on site?

There is a memorial in the Rotherham Minster and there was one at the Walker Mausoleum in Masbrough. This has fallen into disrepair. I won't say why because I get into trouble but it's religious. Btw, I am firmly on the side of Masbrough NOT Masborough. Others may disagree.

That's a very odd, nasty and stupid comment. If you knew anything about Rotherham history you would know that the argument over the "o" in Masbrough/Masborough is a long, hotly-disputed and well-publicised tradition.

No the website is Australian, Huskar pit was just outside Silkstone Common in Barnsley.
