I think we'll probably stay up Bill , we'll probably always be looking over our shoulders but I reckon the three promoted sides from league one could be in for extremely difficult seasons and there's Wendy starting on -12 points too .

There's always the worry we will lose key players and not replace them effectively and that's why it's difficult to get too ahead of ourselves .

If you've seen this happen a few times which we have its natural to be cautious bordering on negative .

Aye after a few years o pyss being tekken art o us, it tends to mek thi a bit cynical and sceptical. Up to Hoss to prove otherwise.

Tha can't gu into a season lately wi much optimism when tha suppooats us. It's systematically tekken away by player sales and inadequate replacements. Therefore there's no real progress on the field. Again, up to Hoss to prove otherwise

I respect your pre-season optimism Bill.

It would be helpful if you could list perhaps the three key reasons that your pre-season optimism is based upon.

Yes I'm quite sure we'll stay up ,personally hoping for a mid to top ten finish. It's just my opinion but I think we have a special group of young talented players who'll come on leaps and bounds next season.Losing key players is a danger at any club but apart from a few fringe players I'm not expecting any of the so called big guns leaving.I've just watched the re cap from the Brentford game again and not only the way we played but the spirit and determination from the players and coaching staff was quite insperational. I think this team of young talented players would have wiped the floor with our team of experienced journeymen who played in the last great escape at Huddersfield.
We now have a fantastic coach who appears to have genuine affection for his squad and the players respond to his passion and tactical nous.I suppose really I'm not a negative bloke I'm more half full than half empty.

Yes if you're referring to the Oakwell board nothing changes. Not in the red,not in administration, appointing another good manager and more important in my eyes not cheating like Wednesday,Derby and Wigan etc.Enjoy the break it'll not be long now.

    Good positive thoughts Bill.

Now the euphoria of the final game has subsided we need to remember we finished 22nd in these owner's first season in the Championship and 22nd again in their second Championship season, later upgraded to 21st by off the field events. Even with a special group of talented players and fantastic coach we finished 22nd again. I admire your optimism that none of our key players will be sold and that we will pushing for a top ten finish.

I know you will respect my opinion to differ. Bottom six for me, maybe 22nd again. Struber sacked by November/ December
