I don't see that here. I even saw local guys drinking by the canal...and in between sups they were wearing masks. Mainly younger people not wearing masks. But even there it is changing... Ireland is quite a multi cultural society with Islam the second biggest religion.. however lots of people finding it tedious now. Too bad SARS-Cov2 doesn't.

I’ve also had two instances at that same station in recent weeks when I’ve witnessed two Asian drivers spit a gob full of phlegm in the forecourt.

Oblivious, ignorant and arrogant in my opinion yet it’s “us” who are the problem in society.

When are those at the top and in the media going to start calling this out?

    Don’t hold your breath!!!
Let’s make the Asian communities scapegoats shall we. They are truly the instigators of this virus spreading, they are the most unhygienic by gobbing here and there, no manners whatsoever, no masks, cannot simply understand the rules of a one way system to even contemplate any social distancing eh.

When we no longer are able to blame anyone else let’s blame all the asians eh. It was the asians in China that caused this, now it’s the asians here in the UK. What pathetic gibberish fact to soley put this down to ethnic this group.

Just because you notice the disregard to rules amongst asians doesn’t mean they are the main culprits of this virus spreading. Perhaps you need to read a bit about unconscious bias here. Are you looking for these faults in asians deliberately and think yeah that’s how it all started?

Who is having all the secret raves? Illegal house parties? Who owns all the holiday homes up and down the country? Who is holidaying in Tenby? Who’s going on holiday into Europe? Which ****er gov did not ensure border checks from overseas arrivals? But no, let’s blame all the asians.

Whilst i’ll admit i’ve experience some people of the ‘asian community’ to not adhere to the rules, it’s just as bad by the white privileged folks too.

We can no longer discriminate against asians and blacks as we previously could but let’s find a new way to do it.. using covid-19 eh. Right wing racist media at its finest hour.

If the rules are not being made compulsory for all, don’t go there trying to blame ethnic minorities.

My post is agreeing with you mick. They completely ignore any rules and recommendations laid down and think that it doesn't apply to them. My son had exactly the same experience as you when driving through Leicester. An Asian taxi driver, they're all Asian in Leicester by the way, opened the window of his cab and spat onto the pavement. What chance have we got with this type of behaviour? Sorry Regis, but I'm afraid that they are a problem!

What I can't get my head around us why we constantly hear from the media that the BAME communities are more at risk with COVID than the white community.

We had an incident last weekend at a beach close to me. A group numbering hundreds, set up an illegal rave with loud music and disgusting personal hygiene standards. Viewing the footage from this event it was obvious that this group was 90% black and were not observing any social distancing or wearing face coverings. The police did try to disperse them but were overwhelmed by the numbers. It was established that these people had come from South London in coaches and has bought tickets for this event.

I had to feel sorry for the local residents who had to put up with the noise, people urinating in their gardens and abuse from the group. The following morning they had to go out and clean up the beach area which was strewn with litter.

It certainly appears that these people from the BAME groups are totally disregarding guidelines yet want us to sympathise with them because they are more susceptible to this virus. I'm afraid that my sympathy for them is absolutely zero,

Don’t get me wrong Phil, i know that type you are referring to. Those spitting out the window as you described. I ask myself this, where the hell have they been for the last 6 months? As if they just can carry on as normal. But to put it down to asians that are causing a rise in infections? If you really want to go by ethnic groups causing it, well you need to look everywhere. One example on tv regarding the gcse results on the bbc this morning.. you could see two teacher next to each other, no social distancing whatsoever. It can’t be one type of rule for one and nothing for another.. not everyone (whatever their ethnicity) is abiding by the rules.

I had a plumber the other month who was not asian, running his finger on the toilets then scratching his nose??? Is he for real?
I can only imagine in your experiences you’ve come accross scumbags that have no manners or consideration for others.

P.s if that was a taxi I was in, when he dropped me off i’d have refused to pay based on that disgusting habit. Sickening.

Simples. Use the CCTV and pop the fine in the post to the owner of the car, whatever race or creed. Give the retailers a % of the fine as an incentive. They could then afford to relieve the unemployment register of a few members to supervise it.

Since the 24th July 2020, it has been compulsory to wear a face covering in enclosed public spaces. Check out gov.uk.

To me it is no surprise that there are Covid flareups. We are having illegal raves, street parties and Black live Matter protests. We are being warned to keep a social distance from people, but some are just flaunting the message. When some of these people have family members with the symptoms, or in hospital, they may come to their senses. But I doubt it.

I think the answer is that there are more idiots in society than many of us previously realised. Whether it's the white middle class idiots flocking to Bournemouth beach in their hundreds of thousands, those who refuse to wear a mask because their part of the new self-entitled breed who won't be told what to do by anyone or be it those youngsters who view themselves as bullet proof despite the fact they're carriers it matters not. They are all part of the problem. Then we have the BAME and other minority communities. Some of the total disregard for what's happening is gob smacking but we're not allowed to call the BLM protestors idiots are we? Truth is all races and groups have their idiots and in the context of this thread it's no surprise that many areas with a very high % of BAME groups are the worst affected in areas like Leicester, Oldham and Dudley.

On Mick's point, I would agree that Lye singularly has a massive problem regardless of who or what is happening elsewhere. I've driven through the High St twice in one week. Very few people wearing masks - and yes, many are the Asian community along with the group of 40 or so Eastern Europeans many of which were drinking in the High St at 0830 in the morning. No masks no social distancing. Idiots are idiots folks. Covid doesn't pick and choose.

    Hi mate,

Yeah........I saw the same the other day in Lye High Street.

40-50 Romanians sat on the wall by the church enjoying our social security system.

That place has been turned into a hell hole by dumping immigrants there in the last ten year.

I lived a mile away for most of my life but bailed out into the sticks three years ago because the crime was going through the roof.

I didn’t see a single Romanian or Asian in a face mask as I drove through.

They don’t give a f u c k about the rules and know the race card can be played as soon as anyone like me brings it up.

I totally agree about the mentality of many white people with total self entitlement though and the beach, demonstration type middle class stupidity.
