Aye you can't have dual ownership .
Question is who would want to buy us in this current climate ?
The other thing is that despite a better history than ourselves for the last decade Wigan haven't any more potential than we have in reality .
In fact you could argue we have more , they only hit the heights they did because Dave Whelan bankrolled them to the hilt and as we know this lot don't do bankrolling .
I can't make any sense out of it .
This is very left field and far from my personal view but I'm putting it out there in the interests of debate .
There are many many examples in this country that football is run terribly , the Championship especially is absolutely mental on many levels .
It's nothing new either , even before the PL existed it was run shockingly .
The games always had bad owners and directors all dodgy to some degree .
It took Jimmy Hill to get the players out of the maximum wage scenario in the 60's and Jean Marc Bossman to free players from clubs when their contracts ran down .
It suited the games hierarchy to leave things as they were .
These feckers that run this club clearly have put some noses out of joint since they arrived , to say the least .
However who is to say they haven't been right on a number of them and it's actually the game itself here that's full of crooks , chancers and spivs and the culture is totally ingrained in our game in the UK .
Maybe they are right that older players looking for once last big contract aren't worth the bother and short change the fans , we've had one or two haven't we .
Maybe they are right that HC's should have minimal say in player recruitment when they can quite easily pyss off to another club leaving the players behind for another HC who may not want them or fit his style , classic case of that with the dog botherers although I take the point the Cowley's were sacked .
Shouldn't all clubs be financially responsible and pay what they can afford and shouldn't the EFL endorse their own rules more aggressively .
Maybe the game here's fundamentally flawed and because it's so ingrained in us we can't see it and it takes people from another culture to open our eyes .
Cough.
A world run by Chiens.
Stop the World, I want to get off.
Tha could be reyt Animal. Chien is the only one who has got football ownership right, a knight in shining armour whose mission is to rid football of chancers and spivs. He certainly rid OGC Nice of the evil that was rife there. He is now feyting on our behalf against fellow directors at Barnsley to root out yet more evil. The rate at which he is collecting clubs and forming a linked network of club ownership using fellow owners at clubs as front men to buy other clubs means he will be running every club in Europe anyway.

When I was a union rep I went to the annual TUC conference a few times , not every year because we took it in turns .
I remember it well , the year escapes me mind , probably 1995 but could have been 1996 .
This fresh faced confident young buck who is the new Leader of the Labour party is making his speech as they all have done .
He basically stands there for 40 minutes and tells us we are either with him or we aren't but points out he's doing it his way and we as Trade Unions won't hold him or the party to ransom anymore .
Tha could have heard a pin drop in that hall , a few walked out , some shook their heads and others clapped and rose to give him a standing ovation when he'd finished his speech .
I thought he wouldn't see the 97 election and he'd just shot himself in the foot .
The little tw@t only went on to win 3 successive elections and rout the tories ivery time , so much so he very nearly put them out of business altogether .
Sometimes tha so ingrained in what's around thi tha can't see things in other ways .
Sometimes the other way puts noses out of joint and people's egos take a hit .
And sometimes it's exactly what's needed to get to where you want to be .
What has Chien done though Animal that is so radically progressive that people now think, "You know what. That's the change we needed to get this football club where we want to be. That's the kick in the arse we needed and we are now heading for success".
As far as I can see he has bought our debt free club on the cheap, amongst other club purchases in Europe with probably more to come. He hasn't even kept up the promised scheduled payments to buy our club.
Football ambition is hampered by a deliberate policy of buying young, selling and recycling the squad every two years. There is no intention of gradually building a team by retaining the better players and adding one or two each season.
Using your analogy I can't see many fans stood in a hall listening to Chien and thinking, "You know what, what this bloke is saying is just what we needed to hear at this club" and bursting out into applause.

SB I fully endorse your feelings toward Chien & co Since his arrival I cannot see any meaningful improvements either with the "match day expeience" or with the team
But in spite of all the failings [of which there are many] can you point to any comments/critcisms from the ones who you purport to have the interests of BFC truly at heart namely the Crynes, but as soon as money is publicly on the agenda they're on it
In fact is this not the first time we've heard a peep[ of any importance] from them
Now that should tell us something
Just as an aside how much did PC pay for the club?

I'm sure if someone had failed to keep the agreed schedule of payments for buying something you owned Ziles you would be "on it". It is not the role of a minority shareholder to make statements on behalf of the "Club", as Dane defines it in his Official Statement. What statements do Hung and Parveen make as minority shareholders ?
As I recall when Barnsley went into administration in 2003/4, despite a lot of hot air, no one was willing to buy Barnsley FC. It wasn't like when Chien rocked up when we were debt free and going cheap. I honestly can't remember what Cryne paid but he was immediately lumbered with paying off creditors which could be argued was part of the price. In the subsequent 14 years Cryne has bankrolled the club, some quietly, some as a loan eventually totalling £6 million of his own money, for which he was rightly paid back.
The idea that Cryne being paid £8 million for a club he had kept going for 14 years, and not receiving that money from these chancers, is not my notion of profiteering.
Please tell me Ziles what Cryne did pay but also add the amount he had to pay to creditors to get the club running again.
