The Home Office which Ugly Patel runs knows full well that most people have to be here to submit their asylum application and that most will have no choice but to make life-threatening journeys to do so. Do rubber dinghy's and shovels come to mind outwood?

The government creates this situation, then tries to make political capital out of it. Who else can we blame outwood?

It would help if the data provided was not 4 years old and did not just mention those seeking asylum.
We all know that since Tony brought in his 'free for all' we have had a lot of people coming into the country that have just disappeared after their Visa or work permit has run out and they are not easy to find.
I would have thought that you political people would know about these things because you cast your vote on party agendas and what they are going to do, whereas, I don't believe any of them

So BT, you are quite happy that your mate, Tony, was happy to create a multicultural Britain that now has 'no-go' areas in a number of towns and cities and is mired down by the fact that muticulture has led more and more to an us and them society.
The ideals are fine, however, it has to work both ways and the reality is that it does not work that way because our ethnic population still feel persecuted as has been seen in recent months.

Lack of leadership on all sides certainly prevails and there is no easy answer. Meanwhile more will perish whilst trying to get across The Channel or the Mediterranean, as almost happened last year when the cruise ship I was on detoured to ensure the safety of 70 people in a boat and stayed with them until the Italian Coastguard picked them up. We know not what happened to them after that.

The historical fact is that there have been numerous examples of immigrations of persecuted peoples coming to Britain. In the Middle Ages Flemish weavers from what is now Belgium and later Huguenots from France and Russian Jews all came here. I have no doubt such influxes produced problems at the time and may not have been welcomed with open arms. Researching my own family history indicates I come from a family of weavers living in Blackley, Manchester from the 1700’s and a DNA test I took ten years ago to establish a common root with a family in South Dakota shows a high percentage of my present day blood matches are living in Belgium. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that part of my ancestry relates to that influx of Flemish weavers. It is much too easy to paint issues in black and white when the truth is much more complex as we have already discussed numerous times on other threads from the Israel-Palestinian conflict to the recent debate on slavery.

I think what it all boils down to ultimately outwood, is whether or not we give a flying phuck about vulnerable people. I am 100% certain this motley Cabal of Conservative Cretins ain't too bothered whether they drown or not.

We took in the Abedi family as refugees and they repaid us with the Arena massacre. That should not be the yardstick of how we deal with refugees but it certainly can’t be ignored either.

Just as Mister Blair was not bothered how many Iraqis or people of his own nation died when he decided to invade Iraq under false pretensions.
Politics has a lot to answer for, however, those running the show are hardly ever taken to task.

THe bottom line is that these people crossing The Channel are doing so at their own risk and it is their choice to do so, they are not being instructed to do this by our government, even though it is our people who are carrying out rescues when needed.

    Zvi Yehezkeli
Zvi (Zvika) Yehezkeli‎, born August 17, 1970, is an Israeli television journalist and documentarian. He is an Arab affairs correspondent and head of the Arab desk at Israeli News 10, the news division of Israel 10.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zvi_Yehezkeli

For a few months during 2016 and 2017, Yehezkeli went undercover in Europe and the United States under a variety of Arab aliases to investigate the Muslim Brotherhood's presence there. The fruit of his exploits, the 5-part series BeZehut Beduya (בזהות בדויה, Under a False Identity)[2] aired on Channel 10 in February 2018.
The series created some controversy, both in Israel and abroad, with online commentators speculating that the Mossad was involved in its production.

The Orthodox Israeli journalist who infiltrated the 'quiet Jihad' ( Just know who are coming on your shores!) A must see?

What's your fixation with Blair, Supersub6?
Me and a lot of other Labour Party members disowned this fraudulent charlatan a long time ago. In my opinion the man is a war criminal who took this nation and invaded another sovereign nation on a falsehood and a fraudster in the sense he pretended to be a socialist. Socialist my arse.
