Please don't compare Rose to Doyle last season. Don't care what the goal contributions say, who played consistently better than the other? Surely that's the benchmark.

Even with JOB injury I have no idea why Rose kept playing , wayward passing , caught in possession too often and points at teammates too much.

Hi Laddo! He kept playing because there was nobody else I suppose. I don't think Doyle was much better than Rose to be honest. I saw them both give the ball away countless times. Doyle shouts a lot and waves his arms about, in between losing his head and getting sent off. I don't see what all the fuss is about him.

Hopefully this issue has been addressed with Reeves and Sloth so that Doyle's game time will be limited this season.

I'd agree with that, while the idea of bringing young players into the team is something I think we would all want to see, there has to be an important proviso, namely that the young player has to offer at least as much as the older player he would replace. I think Osborne is worth another year, but he has to make it count. Being little more than a bench warmer won't be enough to merit another contract.

I sincerely hope i'm wrong, but i have a terrible feeling about this signing. Leeds paid 600k for him, but if he couldn't motivate himself to play for them in the Championship, it will be tough to motivate him for Notts in the National League.
If Sloth's deadliest sin is to go AWOL I think we had handle it - we managed to with Ian Scanlon - and I'm sure he has a prehensile tale or two to say in his defense.

McCrory was a couple of stone overweight at the start of last season too, I couldn't believe it when I saw how big he looked at Eastleigh on opening day but I'm not sure he got all that slimmer during the season, maybe the guy's just THICC. I'd say the full backs lack of assists is probably down to tactics, they passed inside a lot more often than they got to the byline and whipped a ball in which is odd because Ardley's main tactic seems to be to get crosses in as often as possible, maybe he just prefers others get them in?
