He'll be a decent signing for them. Hope Booty gets a chance with someone too - although injuries might hamper him.

Crawford is good enough for most teams at this level (as was Pierce Bird) but you've got to hope that Sloth and Rodriguez are the step-ups we were hoping we'd get in to lead us to the title.

I spent a good thirty seconds thinking that you were referring to a nickname for an existing player when you mentioned Sloth.

    Good luck to him.
Pools are a threat, no doubt about it

Agreed about the monkey hangers. And Crawford’s the only player I would have offered a new contract to from the released list, especially as he’s still only 21 and will hopefully keep improving.

Oh well, more money down the drain from the Hardy years. Talking of that vintage, I wonder if Will Patching has found a new club yet.

I seem to remember he made his debut for a team in Ireland last week. Will have a check.

ETA: It was Dundalk. I don't think he played in their Champions League game but now they're out he could be playing in the Europa League!

I hear the Dundalk fans are gong bananas for those Will Patching shirts this season.

A friend of mine here is a Dundalk fan and said he is decent as hell... when I told him he couldn't even get into a bad Notts side he wasn't impressed
