George Hirst isn't signing because nobody has mentioned him apart from you so you can stop asking about it, the rumour came from you. As for Purrington, there's more chance of you being the new left back than him coming back.

We signed Clarke for LB, maybe it’s about time we tried him in friendliest/reserves and that

    Just joking with you

Yeah like I said I won’t loose sleep if he signs or says he’s not good enough he certainly is but I’d just like something different in midfield.

Most of our plays last season came from the back on a counter attack where the season before in championship we had vaulks and crooks take it off players before it got to the defence.

Most teams in championship have a player in middle who’s like an American quarterback he will find men to play balls to and they will ether score or set one up, Rooney at derby does that for derby at the moment

Wiles and barlaser was same type of player to me both fantastic but it’s like being given two burgers and no fries great but you feel something’s missing

Dunno much about this Fraser but I know we had a proven good player in Barlaser. I'm not sure what you saw in Barlaser with regard to him going round people silly but i thought his strength was his passing and getting on the ball and then setting up chances. When he was out of the side with injury last season the team's form dipped.

George Hirst? Might be ok but we need a big powerful forward and a leader of the line. we thought we were gonna get one in Samuel but that fell thru. If owt happens to Smith we wont have that. We need another big bugger up front.

Think he played against Mansfield MT. He did ok. Certainly didnt look out of place. Trouble is Mattock looked a class above when he came on.

Can’t understand your obsession with Hirst. You saw him play for 7 minutes and decided he’s a world beater. As usual you are more wrong than right.

That's exactly how I see Barlaser, and so does Paul Warne... “We wouldn’t be the same team without him. He’s our quarterback.”
