I think I’m right, Bilic recommends the Players but you will find that it’s Dowling who has to get them over the line that’s his job. If the price is to high he pulls the plug if the wages to high he pulls the plug . Bilic can recommend Messi or a n other but if Dowling thinks it’s wrong for the club he pulls the plug.He is the technical director doing what he was bought in to do.

Technical Director means it’s supposed to be him spotting the talent and looking for gems not Bilic.

You don’t need a Technical Director to crunch numbers that’s what the accountants do like that t w a t Garlick used to do for us.

This is the problem with Albion,we try to do everything on the cheap and end up with people promoted or employed above their ability but on the right wage!

Dan Ashworth was a proper Technical Director.......he went out and found the likes of Odemwingie and Mulumbu.......he didn’t need Mowbray or other managers to give him a list.

Downing is no better than Garlick.
