I bet it was great to see the great fast bowlers in action at Headingley in the 70's playing against England .

Well I watched Lillee , Thompson , Holding , Roberts and Marshall run up and a batsman if he was lucky make some kind of action that suggested he'd hit the ball but that's about it .

Truth is the naked eye ain't good enough to pick those deliveries up , tha struggled to see Derek Underwood's left arm spin pitch never mind whispering death Michael Holding .

I didn't know any of this of course when I went to my first test match in 1975 as a kid to see the terrible twins that were Lillee and Thompson bowl .
